I wonder what QoL improvements the game will get. I also wonder if the dogshit leveling system is still in place.

A Catch-22 if you will: either TES6 does well enough to justify not sending every Bethesda employee back to India, ensuring more slop to come, or TES6 does so poorly that Microsoft outsources low budget remakes/remasters/spin offs to third rate studios to recoup at least some of the costs they sunk on Bethesda. It depends on how TES VI does.
If its a miserable shit show that may be the end of TES.
Wait- I'm confused, and incredibly behind. So TES6 is going to be an Oblivion Remaster? But I just heard it will be on UE5.
Agreed, I hate UE5 with a passionUE5 is a garbage engine
No, there is an actual Oblivion remaster coming. Supposedly using UE5. TES6 is still its own thing. The Skyblivion mod is still going to be released as well. It might get a cease and desist from Bethesda lawyers though.Wait- I'm confused, and incredibly behind. So TES6 is going to be an Oblivion Remaster?
I thought that Morrowind and Skyblivion were a thing, and initially got confused thinking that Skyblivion was moving to UE5. Nevermind that, what the fuck? Does that mean no Hammerfell?

Welp, looks like I have a lot of reading to do, thanks for the catch up. I know Bethesda are Jewish but I hope they're not Jewish enough to try to kill off modding or fan projects like that. No, there is an actual Oblivion remaster coming. Supposedly using UE5. Don't blame you, I'm in the same boat. Nothing good has come from UE5 as far as I'm aware.I don't have a lot of hope that the Oblivion remaster will be the one UE5 game that isn't garbage.
The Oblivion box set was just a logo just like Skyrim.I recall the o.g. Oblivion box art was kinda terrible, so these leaks if true are not off base.
The GOTY art was black and looked even more like the Skyrim box art to confuse things a little more. I think a lot of people remember the crappy splash art with the dopey guard standing in front of burning Kvatch but that was just the back of the box.The Oblivion box set was just a logo just like Skyrim.
Also in the case of many loved games; unpolished and flawed in a uniquely human way.Soul is the same thing as a "strong atmosphere".
Yup that goofy dude standing there at a weird angle and a shot of the big tower with a bunch of bloom effect. That box is burned into my brain. The GOTY art was black and looked even more like the Skyrim box art to confuse things a little more. There is only one person who came close to supporting Avowed(PatricianTV) and he already forgot it exists, calm downINB4 retards start circlejerking Avowed to spite Bethesda.
edit: I don't have faith in the remaster but at the same time I can fully expect the NV tards to start dick sucking Avowed for reddit points. Both (will in ES O's side) suck.
lmfao, the moddibility of these games is their entire point and that's GONE with UE5.I was kind of excited to hear about the Oblivion remaster since it's the one post Morrowin TES game I never played. But I just heard it will be on UE5. That basically killed it for me. UE5 is a garbage engine and the games that use it often run like shit and look like shit. I'm expecting it to be the typical UE5 slop.
If this is what the game actually looks like I don't see how it can. Oblivion's aesthetic really encapsulated the 90s-00s core fantasy aesthetic down to a T and having UE5 post processing effect abuse and brown and bloom everywhere just ruins everything, regardless of how loyal the core design is to the original game. It just doesn't seem to carry itself as very unique in the current year, nor does it really have that nostalgic quality for anyone who grew up with the game.At the moment I have no strong feelings one way or the other. I know too little to make a judgement on if it will be hot shit or good. A few dozen screenshots of scenic vistas from the game doesn't give me anything.
People talked about it a few pages back but it would be good to try to get a good enough understanding of what you actually need and then measure how much of a Wabbajack list you like is comprised of mods that are actually necessary or if it's just bloat. I want to say it's better to avoid mod compilations altogether but I don't really play Skyrim much to give a better answer.I know this is a bit off topic from whats going on right now but is wabbajack actually good for installing mod lists, i wanted to setup a modded skyrim install but the ammount of mods you need to get the game stable and modable is enormous
