Agreed.
It's important to note he lives (lived) in Rio Grande do Sul, which is located in the South Region, which is one of the most developed parts of Brazil. There are barely any gangs that could even have massacred him in the first place. But lynchings are still common in certain regions so maybe that's what would've happened to him if he didn't commit suicide.
