China's really trying to get the upper hand on an icy slope. Good luck with that.

Bernie's been replaced by AOC as the bait the Democratic party dangles in front of stupid activists for their votes money.
FIFY
As he should. As much as I appreciate Vance's way with words and attempt to explain/provide context to the deportation topic, it's not that complicated. If you're in the US illegally, you've broken the law. If you've accidentally broken the law, get on a path to citizenship. If not, you get deported. This should be 100% done if you're a member of a terrorist gang who's been found guilty of committing crimes in addition to being here illegally. This guy has had three due processes already. Enough is enough.

To me, that's the problem. During the transition from Obama to Trump, politics went from being something only the grown-ups followed, to becoming a part of pop-culture. The 2016 election season spawned so many memes, and generated so much discussion online, that the Internet never really went back. And everyone in the country put the battle for political ideals at the center of their thinking, and at the center of their creative works, both corporate and independent.

There are just some people who are not cut out for politics, and really never should've gotten into them to begin with.
I'd argue it started earlier. You watch movies from the 2000s, and there's constant Bush and War on Terror references. Not as much as 2016, that buck broke Hollywood, but the rot was already setting in
China Uncensored did a video on what an invasion of Taiwan would look like

Based on this article:

The first one is a blockade of the Island. But then China would be sitting ducks for the rest of the world once the calvary comes running in.
The second, china strikes taiwan with missiles and storms the island. And the rest of the world is playing catch up.
The last one is the second option, on steroids. They still storm the island, but also attack Taiwan's allies at the same time. Both physical and cyber attacks. Basically, distract the US, et. al, from coming to Taiwan's aid by causing issues elsewhere.

The last one sounds like pure fiction tbh. It reads like something from a Jack Chick tract. They might do some physically or cyber attacks. But not both at once. The article mentions the possibility of China activating cells it has of nations within the US and elsewhere.

But then again, if they do go with the last option, it could leak out. Ala the Zimmerman telegraph. And then the US would have a reason to rally the rest of the world to sanction China and impose large tariffs on them.

Possibly russia as well. Russia owes china a solid.
China would hit Taiwan with everything. EVERYTHING. Why do you think they have been building so many amphibious assault ships and landing craft. They would launch a non stop air and sea campaign while deploying as many land troops as possible. Now Taiwan's defenses are beefy. China would lose a lot, and that's assuming nobody intervenes in the meantime. It would be Normandy on crack.

I’m sure that China was the back room pressure, I mean it’s almost too painfully obvious so it feels dumb to say, behind trump talking about annexing Canada and Greenland. They stated outright that it was to do with fentanyl and pass throughs, in the case of Canada, mineral resources regarding Greenland, and arctic sea routes in both cases.

But then the thing is, we MUST have communicated these and other unknown concerns to the EU through diplomatic channels, and they still publicly reacted in wildly bellicose tones. Norway refused to refuel our naval vessels, France moved some ships off Newfoundland to be like “we r gunna protec heccin Canada,” etc

So I think the timing of the trade war was for trump to call bluffs on all of that shit and force a public vote, in essence, between us and China

If China is bitching now that they want to trade but we have to be nice, that means shit didn’t work out for them the way they hoped it would, or we moved their timeline too soon for them to be comfortable with the full confrontation.

And it’s not OVER yet, obviously. China won’t take anything they can’t spin as a win

@WelperHelper99 i think there’s something to read into. China’s largest drills were like 70-80 aircraft and idk, correct me if I’m wrong but no more than 30 ships?

They still have zero practical experience in truly large scale logistics

China won't accept anything that won't allow them to save face. But there are many ways to save face. They are taking a pounding right now. This cannot continue.

As for your second point, it's gotten larger if I recall in terms of their formations. But the fact remains that their last real war was against Vietnam. And they lost. I think they could win in a extended war against Taiwan, but holy fuck they would take enormous losses. The Taiwan strait would be a graveyard of warships with how many anti ship missiles Taiwan has stockpiled.

If and when China decides to take Taiwan, what is to stop all of the talent from simply leaving the island ahead of time and taking their equipment with them or sabotaging it.
Nothing, and the tech literate Taiwanese would be like a new project paperclip
Maybe years back it was only about the landmass, but now Taiwan has a tech component that can simply be blown up on the way out to prevent China from taking it.
Right. Pyrrhic victory at best. The next step would be for our new doctrine island defense marine corps to deploy to all the tiny Philippine and Japanese archipelago islands with anti ship and anti aircraft missiles and pull a massive “hey we’re the houthis but we can hit shit” routine to contain China in the fallback perimeter

China is in ww2 Japan’s position, where to arrive at a stable stopping point they’d have to grab everything up to Hawaii

- I don't believe he's that stupid he can't see what's going on.
Louis Rossman had an entire rant where he basically explained he was pissed that people were taking advantage of Steven's stupidty, literally comparing him to a hot girl going "wow i can't believe so many guys are being so nice and welcoming"
As much as I appreciate Vance's way with words and attempt to explain/provide context to the deportation topic
i'm going to cry when he eventually gets killed, he's amazing when it comes to speaking on issues, the way he just deals with these journos, he's like if a Trump or Miller type was raised to be a Rhodes Scholar type glowie,
