Because once the nanny left, the only remaining "adults" in the house were constantly coked-up sex perverts leaving drugs around and too wasted to do things like feed the kids and make sure they didn't get into the cocaine. That's when the treatment of the kids degenerated into not mere neglect but criminal neglect.

I think these bullshit letters were written by Nick. These are the same self-serving lies he's been telling since the beginning. If anything, the fact that the only reason the kids were taken care of at all, before he got arrested for his disgusting hell house of filth and squalor and drugs, was that he had a nanny to do everything, should be an aggravating and not a mitigating factor.

They have been active in their church community. The kids go to Wednesday night activities at the New London Faith Covenant Church every week. Christian and Avery go to Bible Study Sunday evenings and they also have various other church related activities throughout the year. They have participated in overnight/weekend Christian themed outings and Christian has gone to mission trips both in and out of the country.

Is this the same church community that reported Nick's druggie ass, or a different flock?

The one interesting thing missing in all of the letters is something known as repentance. Nick isn't sorry what he did. He hasn't changed. Nobody sees that he did anything wrong. Everything about the children is positive like all the stuff with CPS never happened. Nothing about going to recovery. Nothing about Nick trying to be a better person.

Nick should have a light sentence because he is a great guy and a good dad and he gives money to the zoo. And Nick gets really stressed out by driving.

I'm a willing to bet that he will serve 0 days in jail. Not with the amount of kids he has and only being a 1st time offender. Getting community service would be interesting though. Honestly knowing him, being told to help out people around him, possibly even people that betrayed his trust, would be more painful for him than jail time anyway.
