Firstly nobody knows Chinese population size in China, there has been data claiming pre 2020 was around 800mil and currently is much lower . Second the question is can the current regime that isn't trusted by the population can afford a war . And third will chyna survive as one country in the near future.

If the population is collapsing in China like some channels claim. The Taiwan is relatively safe . Assuming they don't decide to go Russian route which is produce shitton of weapons and arm bunch of mercs and sicc them at Taiwan

Trial first, jail second? I don't think that's how it works at all. Usually you are arrested first, then held in jail, THEN you get a trial. You don't even get to post bail until a judge says you can in a hearing.

Looking through that schizo lense, then this and everything else that has happened lately would be the "deep state" pulling the plug on the left after realizing it's harmful and unnecessary. Not just the organization, but trying to convince the plebs "everything these people said? Discard it. It's useless. We're going back".

The conspiracy theorist in me says it probably went something like

My prediction is that the Dems barely take back the House in 2026, as the opposition almost always does, after the DNC pours money into unseating 'Centrist' Blue Dog Democrats with Progressives who can't win in swing districts. Republicans gain a 1-2 seats in the Senate with Kemp in GA and Sununu in NH. It's going to be a mirrored version of the 2022 midterms. Vance presumably will have a decent chance of winning in 2028, assuming Trump doesn't manage to tank the economy right beforehand, but it's going to be close unless the Democrats nominate an outright Socialist.

I would never count out the Democratic Party, as much as I wish I could. It's the oldest party in the world. It's the party of Andrew Jackson, Jefferson Davis, Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, George Wallace, JFK, Obama, etc. The party has shapeshifted for almost two centuries at this point to survive, to a point where none of its original principles are intact, and done so extremely successfully.
