the kiwi farms is held together with string because we can't make any money because i am the most debanked person in the us. so full sized images (even small ones) load dramatically slower than the optimized thumbnails. however now that i force webp it's less of an issue, but there's still basically no reason to not use thumbnails except that XenForo is SHIT and has NO FUCKING OPTION to make ctrl+v'ing an image into a post make it a thumbnail by default. I asked them 10 fucking years ago for this feature and the dumb fucks still haven't added it. Because it's a JavaScript thing there's also no real safe way to mod it in.
