At least until Oblivion, just use a alteration open spell to bypass that minigame.I did always prefer Oblivion's but really I don't want to play any minigame as often as these games require you to.

You know what? This is almost certainly a hoax, there is no way in hell Bethesda would shadow drop something as huge as a full Oblivion remake with zero marketing.
DSP got gatekept by it. So you are 100% correct. It is the anti retard systemSame with the lockpicking minigame, both Oblivion's and the pre-Starfucked, post-Oblivion Bethesda lockpicking minigames. In that they're incredibly simple and easy but because people can't brute force it like a retard it's considered difficult and whatnot. Speaking of retard:
Local brainlet gets filtered even when being HANDHELD by his audience, makes video crying about it.
I like the lil headnod at the endSpeaking of which, someone literally just made an Oblivion lockpicking mod for OpenMW this week.
Sure it's a financial failure, only a novelty by the standards of the Elder Scrolls series, came out on a declining gaming platform, and had a tie-in comic which is rather neat but it does have Todd Howard providing the voice for Clavicus Vile. Its lore is good, and the writing is miles above Daggerfall. It was the first TES title with MK at the wheel for the world building and it shows. I don't remember the music at all.
It plays like absolute ass. Even back then. The gameplay of this thing is beyond fucked. And it's ugly. In short, no. It's a cool read/good video background but that's about it.
Todd Howard also voiced him in Oblivion, but for some reason not in SkyrimSure it's a financial failure, only a novelty by the standards of the Elder Scrolls series, came out on a declining gaming platform, and had a tie-in comic which is rather neat but it does have Todd Howard providing the voice for Clavicus Vile.
You are indeed a bastard.Todd Howard also voiced him in Oblivion, but for some reason not in Skyrim

My life is drab and wretched by comparison!"Blah blah blah, what a bore."
Smash the lock. Steal the treasure. Leave a trap behind.I did always prefer Oblivion's but really I don't want to play any minigame as often as these games require you to.
I don't think so.I’m wondering if they’ll release a free upgrade version for original Oblivion owners a la Skyrim did
As shit as the progression is, it's part of Oblivion's janky charm and I'd like to see that retained. I know this is a volcanic hot take.I think Oblivion is a perfect candidate for a remake because it is a great game with massive flaws. The world, the exploration and (some of) the writing is awesome while the gameplay is janky, combat is awful and the leveling and progression is pure shit. If I could remotely trust the devs to remain true to the good while improving the bad I would be fairly hyped.
I wouldn't say that disqualifies it from getting a free release to previous owners as a "free upgrade", at least on Steam.I don't think so.
Game engine is totally different, unlike Skyrim.
I wasnt aware of that guy. I watched some of his stuff while doing some menial bullshit and I've seen worse. He does okay for a zoomer on Morrowind and Oblivion. I think vanilla Daggerfall is just the ultimate anti zoomzoom media out there. This guy is insufferable and incredibly retarded.
I see your points and I hope you're wrong. I want my Oblislop with Dark Souls combats and 25 fps. If that is a bait, imagine how retarded we must look to Bethesda. Its too comedic to be real.
A Bethesda that would do that is long gone.I wouldn't say that disqualifies it from getting a free release to previous owners as a "free upgrade", at least on Steam.
I will say that the Switch version of Skyrim vastly improves on Lockpicking, since each joycon clicks and vibrates individually as you maneuver the pick.Oblivion has the superior lock picking system as it requires actual skill instead of luck and even if you hate it getting the skeleton key is extremely easy.
I wish, but I strongly doubt itll be a free upgrade, $50 on steam at best if i had to guessI wouldn't say that disqualifies it from getting a free release to previous owners as a "free upgrade", at least on Steam.
