What's your favorite animal OTHER than cats and dogs?

Red Pandas.

Here's a few photos of them eating some food. That's all they're doing.

And it's 100% adorable.

Hedgehogs.

I had a fat one who used to visit me and get himself stuck beneath the backyard door—right in the gap at the bottom. It happened more than once. I had to pull him out with thick garden gloves, and in return, he pissed on me. But over time, we came to an understanding. Or at least, I like to think that his snuffling and grunting signified some kind of platonic affection. Bro really wanted those cherries.

Shimaenaga! It's an easy answer but it's an easy answer,

Emperor/king penguins, I used to be obsessed with Antarctica as a little kid because I always wanted to hug one and I'll die bitter knowing it'll never happen.

Holy shit I used to be absolutely obsessed with KOTSUMET, I don't know how I've forgotten but I gotta catch up on four years worth of youtube otter videos now
I don't know where you live, but you can absolutely hug a penguin. I know the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois has a penguin house and they do regular penguin interactions with guests multiple times a day! I think it's an extra charge on top of your ticket unless you're a zoo member, but it's not astronomical or anything.

This is always a popular one: spiders. Well, arachnids in general but mostly spiders and scorpions. Ever since I was a small boy I've loved spiders, they are endlessly fascinating to me. My grandparents bought me a North American entomology field guide when I was small so I loved trying to find all the species in my area (though it really needs to be done under a microscope).

There are a few I could think of that have already been mentioned. I would say bunnies then maybe ravens or crows, although I really wouldn't be able to tell the difference without seeing them up close since ravens and crows do look alike.

A bunny like this.

I love pandas, too!

In fact, they're so amazing that the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) uses one in their logo.

Pandas are neat just don't ring a bell around them.
