You should understand the root cause for virtue signalling

Corporations implementing virtue signalling politics is due to the incentives provided by Blackrock and its CEO Larry Fink. They pay out enormous sums of money through their ESG program in a misguided attempt to "make the world a better place". I don't know. Maybe they're trying to offset some of the guilt and responsibility they hold for managing the assets of arms dealers and manufacturers.

This is like a chicken and egg scenario. But in this case, the virtue signallers are doing so because ESG pays out depending on how many arbitrary markers you are able to hit. Countries like china have a much more powerful form of social manipulation that may actually work in getting people to act in accordance to the needs of their country. The PPC's best chance of ever gaining a seat was when the Candace-Bergen-that-wasn't-Murphy-Brown stepped down as interim leader of the Conservatives after Poilievre won the leadership race in 2022. And Bergen announced she was resigning her seat and not running again.

Her seat was near Winkler, Manitoba. The PPC guy who ran for it in 2021 had the best PPC showing in the country at 20% of the popular vote.

Bernier moved over from his riding in Beauce, Quebec to run in the by-election in 2023? The riding has a significant Mennonite population and was a safe Conservative seat.

Apparently the Mennonites sniffed out Bernier as a carpetbagger, because he somehow performed worse in the by-election than Wiebe did. The canadian government hasn't sold its citizens off to corporations in the same way the united states has.
We still have universal healthcare, paid leave, and maternity leave that the law requires every job to have.
In comparison, the united states is basically a third world country with openly corrupt politicians and billionaires that use the country as their personal playground. Not to mentioned the school shooting problem that is unique to the states.
