I strongly agree that help should come with something in return. The problem is that Ukraine cannot offer anything as 'repayment' or 'in return' until the war ends and peace is secured for the future, be that in NATO as a member or something like the NATO partnership for peace in the 1990s.

Minerals? Russia occupies the areas where they are located. Food? Landmines are buried everywhere. "Repayment" can't happen until security is for sure.
Unfortunately pitches like "we need to help this country stabilize because they might be an incredibly good ally and give us stuff in the future, just trust me" does not immediately sell itself to Americans anymore after the absolute debacles in the Middle East the last two decades, Afghanistan's current situation especially. I'd argue there's a cultural and religious difference when comparing Ukraine to those countries, but that's why people are skeptical.

You will be utterly shocked to find out Big Soy says getting rid of Seed Oils is bad for 'Murica:

Impacts of removing seed oils from U.S. food supply striking
Soybean industry releases studies showing a seed oil ban would not bode well for the food supply, consumers or economy.
The results of a soybean industry project to examine the impacts of a potential seed oil ban in the U.S. food supply are in — and the answers are not good, the American Soybean Association (ASA) said in a news release.
The kind of partial science we can count on from the ASA!
The seed oil study was funded by the United Soybean Board and conducted by the World Agricultural Economic & Environmental Services (WAEES).
See, totally objective!
The seed oil industry, which primarily includes soybean, canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, rice bran, safflower and sunflower, would see a sizable drop in consumption for domestic products, while imported palm oil would likely flourish. In the meantime, consumers would have a hard time making apples-to-apples substitutions given price surges, product availability, allergen issues and usage constraints.
Soy futures down, soy farmers rekt the same as broken window repair shops in San Francisco when crime goes down, and LESS CONSUMER CHOICES OH NO!

In one scenario, people eat the same amount of processed goyslop, but sub out seed oils. This will destroy seed oil farmers, make salad dressing creation Difficulty: Impossible, and Oh No Muh Pnut Allergeez!
1. Flat U.S. fat and oil consumption. This scenario removed seed oils from human consumption but assumed consumption of fats and oils per capita would remain roughly unchanged — ignoring the fact that many fats and oils are not directly substitutable. For instance, tallow and palm oil cannot be used in salad dressing, as they are solid at room temperature. Certain nut oils also bring allergy concerns.
Also deadly Palm Tree 🌴 forests will cover the earth!
A 58 lb. per-capita loss of seed oil would be filled primarily by increased palm oil consumption (53 lb.), which would have to be imported. Global palm area would likely increase by 3.3 million acres.

In the second scenario, Americans eat less processed slop, and the results:

In this case, the 58 lb. loss of seed oils is only partially offset. Per-capita consumption of fats and oils would fall by 21 lb., or 29%. The study did not look at any resulting health consequences of the dramatic drop.
The study did not look at any resulting health consequences of the dramatic drop.
The study did not look at any resulting health consequences of the dramatic drop.
Because America actually getting Healthy Again is worthless if it results in
Soybean prices would fall by an average of more than 3% per year and farmer returns by about 7%. Overall crop cash receipts would drop by $3 billion per year, and farm income would fall by about $2 billion. Soybean area would decrease by a yearly average of 2.8 million acres.

But fear not hydrogenated processed oil bros! MAGA is not gonna happen!
To explain why a switch to non-seed oils is not readily feasible, ASA chief economist Dr. Scott Gerlt noted: “Simply put, there is not enough production. Fats are largely a byproduct of meat production and represent only a small share of the value of the processing. Capacity to produce tallow is also limited

But smarties like us already knew that, heh heh
ASA president and soybean farmer Caleb Ragland said of the study, “This work simply confirms what we already knew: A ban on seed oils, including soy, is going to have costly impacts for farmers and costly impacts for consumers — and I don’t just mean in the wallet. There is the potential here that we lose consumer choice based on conjecture, and that should not be something we condone in the U.S. or anywhere, for that matter.”
THE LAST THING WE CAN CONDONE IS LESS CONSUMER CHOICE! THE LIQUID GOLD MUST FLOOOOOOOW!

So in conclusion, don't rock the boat, Bobby Kennedy
With this positive FDA qualified health claim for soybean oil, Ragland questioned why “rock that boat” of banning seed oils without any scientific reason, especially at the expense of consumer choice and the domestic soybean oil market?

its with heavy heart I admit @Fatpacks was at least 50% right, Im still vaugley optimistic but does anyone feel 3 months in we are more or less back to "business as usual?"

maybe some Kiwi from El Paso needs to chime in about how much better life is in a shit border town now with less illegials but honestly even if that was a ringing win (Im not convinced it is yet, where are pavelow runs of cartel Haciendas?) its not enought to hang the admins hat on.

First month was so damn promising with so much potential and now its just shit like if trumps going to use taxpayer money to throw himself a parade, i wouldent care if he BTFOED Iran or Mexico but so far, concretely, all he is dont is change a few names on a map.

Trade war might go well, it might not, we arent a nation of people with nothing to lose, china is, might be a bad game of chicken we are playing, Mao starved 30 million people with a genuine "whoopsey" and they just took it, 3,000 people got mulched in a couple towers and we are still sending home caskets with flags on them from the middle east WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING DONALD?

The peace plan for Ukraine was very optimistic. Business as usual for China and Israel which is to say they are squabbling with their neighbors though China has expanded their navy in the last few years and Israel has gotten some territory out of Syria and possibly soon Gaza as well. Very few Americans care about what's going on in Sudan and Myanmar. If Venezuela goes beyond mere posturing they'll most likely suffer the consequences. Finally, the cartels should be getting drone strikes that are used to make kill camera compilations with Funkytown playing in the background because it would be funny.

It should also be mentioned that Cuba and Haiti are perpetually suffering but that's nothing new. The USA keeps bombing the Houthis who are being aided by the Chinese. Furthermore, the United States doesn't control Greenland yet which is very sad.

Look, the next 4 years can't be headlines and winning and libtard tears 24/7/365. It's just not natural. There has to be some slow times inbetween.

you sound like some nigger in NYC circa june 1940

IF YOUR NEIGHBORS HOUSE IS ON FIRE IT WILL BURN ITS WAY TO YOU IF YOU DONT HELP HIM
Sorry, maybe Strelkov's last statement wasn't clear enough.
If my "neighbor" has shown me nothing but contempt, stolen my money to fund his lavish lifestyle, mocked me as a colonizer fascist, and screams about how I need to make room in my house for people who want to rape and murder me, I would gladly risk letting my house get singed if it meant watching his burn to ash.
Fuck off.

The only reason the pace is slowing down is because the opposition is finally coming out of it's stupor from the last three months of non-stop beatings. Expect the pace to return to unimaginable levels if Trump actually makes an official statement telling the federal judges they can go fuck themselves.

the giveaway that my theory is correct - the competent people are waiting and allowing the tards to autopurge - isn't the national forest thing, it's the Texas sepsis deaths.

really ask yourself why you know everything about this gangbanger who spent some time in Maryland, why the media is shoving that down your throat, but the phrase "Texas sepsis deaths" means nothing to you

and watch for it to get pushed hard into your face at the midterms.
"Texas sepsis deaths" means nothing to us because no one cares if some whores who murdered their infant child in the womb died. They got what they deserved.

I can play Danzig in the background while they're having their 9,273,233 civil war in Sudan.
I'm sure these countries would come help me out if the same happened here right?

I think the part they (chinks and leftists) don't understand is that basically everybody currently begging for even 30 hours a week in a restaurant getting screamed at by niggers would happily work at an assembly line like this. Every wagie I know says the worst part of their job is dealing with customers.

Yes i've seen the fucking poll saying 80% don't want to work in factories, I simply don't believe it. The wording was probably something like "is this your dream job" which is an obvious no... but if the choices are between factory and popeyes service the choices are going to be clear.
Not to mention they’d indefinitely unionize the second the factory opens
