Night 1 was fun live, took a bit to get going crowd-wise but the entire stadium was doing the Yeet for five minutes. LA Knight and Fatu was solid, Tiffy vs Flair eventually built up pretty good, and the Triple Threat was absolute kino.

The crowd definitely came to life for the main card.

Main event was a banger, really enjoyed it. Loved the finish and happy to see Seth get his. Rest of the show was a slog. EDIT: other than Fatu, Fatu is great. Way too many fucking ads, they were non-stop. I'm surprised the wrestlers don't have ads on their tights yet. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss Vince's artistic integrity regarding visible advertisements and commercials. Something about tonight lacked the specialness I was expecting. That War Raiders entrance was fucking absurd.

It is abundantly clear that the niggerfication of WWE by God's chosen people is in full swing.

It was pretty dead first half of the card outside of Yeets and Yeahs, unsurprisingly. Having two de-facto piss break matches back to back killed off a lot of the crowd too, and not opening the gates for entry until almost an hour past the original 1:30 start time meant people were still pouring in and getting settled. Hopefully Night 2 goes more smoothly, it also has a better card on paper.

I think Becky will return as Lyra's tag partner, which makes perfect sense given the history between both Becky and Lyra, and Becky and Liv, but I'm expecting people to have meltdowns over it anyway.

She's completely dimeless. They called her up from NXT as a babyface and just handed her a brand new title. It was the dumbest thing they could have done. No one cares about her or that stupid midcard belt. If they replace Bayley with Becky and have them go over Liv and Raquel they're out of their minds, no one is going to care about Lyra now having 2 belts she didn't deserve to win due to Becky.

how does Becky have that much politicking power to the point she can make creative push a wrestler she likes, and you can tell its an inorganic push with how fucking quiet the crowd gets every single time she's on screen

My thoughts:

Opener was slow but decent, Gunther pushed Jey into a decent match, their was a couple spots that legitimately convinced me Gunther might retain but YEET miser pulled through, I imagine Gunther will win at back at Summerslam

TND beating the Viking raiders was the right call the match itself was good and felt faster then the opener New Day with the dirty win was good, now WWE can focus on rebuilding the RAW tag division

Jade/Naomi was actually pretty good despite my low expectations in-ring wise the storyline has actually been decent, Jade winning was probably the right call though either of them could have convincingly won, they’ll probably continue the feud

Fatu winning actually suprised me as I thought Knight was retaining and then split up the Bloodline 2.0 but I throughly enjoyed the match especially the ending

Gable winning was the right call imo and the dirty finish also protected Fenix, also enjoyed this match also lol at Gables entrance

Charles vs Tiffy was good but went on for WAY too fucking long, relived Tiffy retained

Triple Threat was very enjoyable too, a bit too much of a finisher festival but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment, didn’t expect Seth to win but I probably should have seen it coming all things considered

Very good Night 1 of Mania, can’t wait for Night 2

Becky is semi-retired and she's probably pitching Lyra to be her successor. Lyra is good in the ring but has zero personality. At some point she has to actually do something to get over. A few fans going "woo" during her entrance and a forced pushed that nobody cares about clearly isn't cutting it. Should have given the IC title to a longtime veteran to establish its credibility then have them lose to a younger wrestler at Mania, easy story to tell. Lyra hasn't made the title relevant at all. Lyra being not over to the point where they have to shoehorn her with Bayley is obvious to everyone what they're trying to do.

She'll be just another name in a round of roster cuts in a couple of years time.

Why do wrestling fans have this almost deranged mentality that if they personally don't like a wrestler they have to start pretending and arguing that no one likes them? Just say you don't like her and move on instead of making claims like that.
