What he got is at the upper end of what first time offenders get.
If he had behaved properly and put in some effort he would have likely gotten away with a lot less.

But putting in effort is something Nick Rekieta is deathly afraid of, so there was never a chance of it happening.
If he wasn't such a retard he could already be 9 months into a 24 months probation period. Instead he is on day 2 of 1826.

Nick is already on probation. The 30 days (-2) can be deferred if he does what he is supposed to and puts in some effort.
But because of what I wrote above I highly doubt that will happen. Nick doing something he does not want to will never happen, and he is way too high on his own farts to consider the option that he might be wrong.

What would be considered "normal" where I am is 1-2 years bench probation. 5 years supervised is a lot.
