The microplastics don't just go to your balls. They end up in all parts of your body(they also end up in other animals and even in plants). As for fluoride, it does something similar but it more specifically affects calcium ions in the body. In small amounts it's a slight inconvenience but in larger doses it fucks up your skeleton in an extremely painful way. For the microplastics they degrade into various nasty compounds and the plastics I imagine can act in a similar way to asbestos could in the lungs -- to explain briefly on that asbestos could penetrate cells and damage nuclei directly. From what I remember microplastics also raise the amount of inflammation people can experience(inflammation when it's not from bacteria and other foreign organisms is usually the result of the body detecting leaked cellular contents, meaning cells have died/exploded).

I've had hypothetical treatment ideas in mind for this stuff, but I don't really have any power to really see it proliferated or tested. Haven't looked into if anyone has done any experiments on trying to remove microplastics either. One potential treatment idea I've had though is to essentially work in certain enzymes that many bacteria and fungi have already evolved to break down and digest plastics into pill form. The problem is that some byproducts of these enzymes breaking down plastics do produce minor amounts of unsavory chemicals, like ethylene glycol, but they work very slowly so it may be fine.
