The problem is that this hasn't really hit him as hard as it appears. Go look at the "I lost" video's Like/Dislike ratio, and read the comments. Yes, there's a lot of dislikes and people shitting on him, but the Likes far outnumber the Dislikes, and there's a pretty large amount of dents in the comments accepting Karl's explanation or defending him.

He took a hit in subscribers, and his positive videos like the one from today likely don't do the same kind of numbers as the cheating expose ones do, but things really aren't that bleak. Unless some really huge content creator does a video roasting the nonpology, he's going to be fine.

Someone here made a suggestion that he probably botted the likes of that video so it could look good on the eyes of people that aren't that deep into the drama, it sounds like something that he would probably do, because it doesn't make sense that the majority of comments are shitting on him but the like/dislike ratio is so separated.

I'm seeing this, and 11k dislikes is a really bad ratio that I can see. He has his share of simps of course, but over 1/3 dislike is brutal on something like this. This is approaching Disney pre-Snow White level slop dislikes.

I don't think he's going to be 'fine' really. He has 2 choices in my opinion. Double down hard and be some kind of messiah figure against Billy or back off and eat some hat and go back to speedrunning and other cheating issues.

I think he's made a lot of money in this. I don't think he's going to miss $1m Aussie bucks on the lawsuit if he totally has to pay and loses the appeals which I think is likely. I don't think he's going to be destitute but his future is going to be an interesting watch for sure.

That's exactly what he's going to do. Once this case is completely over, there's no way Billy's terms do not include never mentioning him in a video ever again. That was part of his deal with Apollo, so there's no way he doesn't do the same here.

The biggest problem isn't the reputational hit, it's the financial one. Karl owes Billy over $200,000 USD with interest; when you factor in the amount spent on both his and Billy's lawyers (an amount which is definitely going to shoot up given his stated intention of filing an appeal) he's looking at (at least) $500,000 worth of debt. That's a massive a massive blow to his finances - he's relatively successful for his given niche, but he has nowhere near enough liquid capital to make this a non-issue, especially given the fact that he has a (non-working) wife and kid.
Lets be generous and say that Karl has $50,000 of disposable income left after expenses - he's going to spend 10 years paying off this debt, all to to someone that he absolutely hates. This is a collosal L for Jobst, one that (despite his statements to the contrary) he won't be able to recover from for a very long time.

Billy Mitchell is a former world champion arcade player who cheated his way to the top. Like that episode of Yu Gi-Oh were Kaiba cheated against Yugi to win the tournament.

A real life cartoon villain so heinous he drove a man to suicide for trying to expose him as the cheater he is. He has been suing people left and right like a cumfart bukkake in people’s poopoo holes.

Now, Karl Jobst has been having an ongoing legal battle against Billy Mitchell because he accused him of cheating. And, sadly, I hate to shit diarrhea on your birthday cake, but sadly, Billy Mitchell won (micropause) the lawsuit (micropause) against Karl (micropause) for cheating (emphasis and upward inflection on the first syllable).

Now this is obviously a bunch of hogwash! A bunch of hooey! A bunch of baloney! This is just like that episode of SpongeBob when Plankton took over the Krabby Patty restaurant.

When LUS did his live react to the verdict, even after the judgement was read, and LUS repeated over and over since that this had nothing to do with cheating, and everything to do with Apollo Legend, people were coming into the chat and going into how the judge was wrong because Billy was a proven cheater.

Yes, after hearing many times what this case was really about, they STILL were convinced this was about cheating and the judge was all wrong.

In a way I can't place 100% of the blame on them since they had it drilled into their heads by Karl and these other useful idiots on YouTube, and even the news media, that it was about cheating and not something else. But even so, so deluded that they still think the contrary even after hearing the truth several times.

A lot of them know they are in the wrong but live in a post-truth reality, facts end where their feelings begin, that kind of thing. Billy is a liar and he cheated and that's all that matters. The Judge is a crook or mistaken or he was right but it doesn't matter because the online court of appeal has overturned the judgement. Any kind of desperate or delusional cope instead of accepting that Karl LOST.
