goldeneye 64 was the crysis of the n64. not a great game but at the time it was groundbreaking because of the graphics and cinematic aspect

Perfect dark is so much better and more impressive than GoldenEye it's insane. Nobody cares as much about it.

Goldeneye is a great game and i won't take any slander towards it.
The only reason people dislike it nowadays is because it runs like shit on original hardware, if Microsoft had actually released that remaster the game would have aged much better.

That game truly pushed the N64 to its limits.

My point was that Jared at the start was in the situation Jobst is now, with everyone making jokes at his expense, disowning him and calling him a rapist and a pedophile but managed to turn it around and STILL it killed his channel, to the point he had to beg for a new PC some time ago. Jobst had not managed to turn it around yet.
And Jared was totally radio silent for months while his wife ran her mouth every day while in this case Jobst ran his mouth every day while Billy kept shut.

So I wanted to see for myself if Mutahar simply doesn't follow up on this takedown stories he does when the person of interest responds, or if he seems to be protecting Karl.

After Jirard made his terrible response video on Dec 9, 2023, Mutahar did his one day later on Dec 10, 2023. So he was immediately ready to go with this.

Karl Jobst did his terrible response video on Apr 17, 2025, and Mutahar has made three different videos since then, none of them addressing Karl.



So is he avoiding addressing Karl? You decide.

I think Mutahar does not have to address the Karl issue at all, he made one video and pretty clearly distanced himself without trying to be mean, and if he is clever he will never mention Karl again.

There is nothing for him to win by taking sides weather Karl mislead his viewers or not.

So according to LUS, at some point Notch stopped helping Karl monetarily, according to Karl, Notch only helped for a couple of months and even then it was Notch's manager the one that was in direct to contact with Karl and he was the one that decided to stop providing help. At some point last year (2024) someone, other than Karl, contacted Notch alleging that the help to Karl had stopped and then Notch started the money flow again,
This makes a lot of sense to me, we can only theorize but if Notch went back and paid for the legal assistance retroactively this would have been a huge relief for Karl. It would also explain also why Karl is so carefree when paying over expensive lawyers since Notch is the one that is paying for them anyways or why Karl is so insistent on appealing and never backing off of his opinion.

If all of this is truth, then Notch might have been the biggest sucker of all in this case, that just wasted hundred of thousand of dollars supporting an grownup child like Karl.

This rise up some questions tho:

1. Why did the support from Notch stop from in the first place?
2. Why didn't Karl himself contacted Notch directly when this happened?
3. Did Notch paid for Karl's legal fees retroactively?
4. Was Notch aware what the lawsuit was actually about?

Of course, we only have second hand information because Karl is a sneaky fuck and will never be transparent about anything.

There was definitely a hiatus from 2021 to 2024, but after that Notch went back to help in some capacity, that's why I'm wondering if Notch is just a sucker that ended up paying everything and Karl is getting away with just a slap on the wrist.

From what little I gathered, it seems there is some big to-do about Billy using MAME or whatever but that never made sense to me cause Billy's accomplishments are high score based, not speed based. The speedrunning community is super anal about console/emulator differences, even if the game runs the same. Part of the issue is how easy it is to cheat on them thanks to baked-in save states and tool assistance.

I don't think there's even any actual evidence that Billy cheated, just that he used MAME instead of an authentic cabinet, which is labeled as "cheating" even if he played authentically but just wasn't using the "real" hardware. Billy claims he never used MAME, and people basically just naturally jumped to "if he's lying about not using MAME, then he must also be using MAME to save state/slow the game down/etc" (not unlike how Karl decided that having a reputation for cheating is comparable to having a reputation for making people kill themselves).

Most speedrunning communities for different games have different rules, like a lot of the Zelda ones accept weird Chinese localizations of Nintendo consoles even though they're not actually N64's, and that's acceptable, but emulation isn't. I don't think it's gatekeeping so much as it is that they're paranoid and turbo autistic.

MAME is an emulator that has its own leaderboard and high scores submitted using it require additional proof to verify the gameplay as legit, such as uncut continuous video recordings of the run.

Some of Billy's gameplay footage can be attributed to MAME, when it was claimed to have been played on original hardware, because of the way the levels are loaded. The videos also all come without sound, which is suspicious because MAME sound and Original Hardware sound are very different.

MAME requires extra proof for submitted runs because using the emulator software you can manipulate the game code and create de-facto save games from which to resume playing if you fail and splicing the runs together for example, slowing down the game speed and increasing the number of barrels to achieve a higher score quicker.

It is all very autistic, but the evidence gathered does make some good points, only all those things could be way in the past if people would stop making a big deal out of it and Billy stopped trying to silence people talking about these cheating allegations with lawsuits.
