Ok, so no offense for our sisters, trans women and trans men suffer from the same struggles when it comes to anti-trans sentiment, struggles with our identities and bodies, the desire to fit and feel as you're being yourself, repression and distressing feelings. However, as much as I support my sisters, sometimes I want a space where trans men will be represented too. What do I mean by that? Whenever I look around, everything is about trans women. If you go to a sub about trans people (not a specific one, like this subreddit or the MTF), majority of the posts will be about trans women. LGBTQ areas focused in trans people? You'll see more trans women, trans representation will focus on women majority of the time.

Ok, good, someone is thriving and it's a victory for all trans people when someone is represented in good faith (not like that "Emily Perez movie for example). But I can't help but feel we're being left out? Memes, music (like hyperpop or breakcore) It's like everything is always about them. Silly memes such as "when I have a trans daughter, I'll make her a breakcore producer lol" but I see nothing about trans guys.

And before you say something about the fact that their exposure while a benefit is also a curse, I know. I know MTF individuals suffer more persecution in general when it comes to anti-trans rhetorics and discourse such as "look, a man in a dress being a predator", but all I ask is for FTM representation. Trans men are so forgotten to the point you'll rarely see a negative representation too.

So, I don't know if it's because I'm not searching in the right places, so if you have a recommendation, I'll appreciate it. Be it streamers, youtubers, music, movies, characters, videogames... Whatever that will be.

That's her nickname. Despite her willingness to overshare in Reddit, she plays coy about her chosen Pooner name. Closest she's gotten to admitting it is the bit I shared about 'webcomic character that grew up stranded in an island' + the 'second most popular boy name in 1997/8' and this.

Another thing to note about this Pooner is that she is clearly desperate for mommy's attention. She has said before that her mother is sure to miss her once she moves out and goes no contact... but it's clear this woman needs her mother more than her mother has ever needed her. Yesterday being Easter meant seeing the extended family. Which also means hearing the wrong name and pronouns a lot. To a point where I here them talking in other rooms and I’m not hearing he/him, I hear she/they, and yes I used he/they pronouns but I feel like when family members use that it’s to avoid the fact I’m a man. Today at work I’ve also been called “ma’am, lady, and girl” all within 30 minutes on a day I felt very comfortable in my skin… now not so much

Posted this on the main ftm reddit reposted here. I cannot work as I am disabled, i have no family and I cannot bind due to severe pain. I dont even leave my home anymore. I've been trying to get top surgery for years now and it's just not happening. I cannot work due to pain so how the fuck am I going to afford it? And don't say gofundme because I'm not in a situation where I can put my face on anything. The only way I can think of getting it is trough s work but as someone who has been raped multiple times since I was a child, the idea of that makes me want to vomit. I cannot go though my life any longer without top surgery. I do not leave my house i do not have any friends and I do not have any family that can financially or even emotionally support me. What am I supposed to do? Die? Because at the moment that seems to be my only option. I cannot waste away inside anymore I cannot deal with this. I just need the money to get it done. I dont even have enough money to get it done in another country to dont suggest that. Everywhere is expensive and I have no money at all I can't even save anything. I'm in my 20s and I'm tired of other trans men telling me I'm too young to give up. I haven't lived my life! Ever! I am not a person I cannot be a person without this surgery. I was able to get a phycologist appointment when I used to have a job and I have it in writing that top surgery is necessary for me to live and yet no doctor will listen. I cannot get it on the NHS and I cannot go privately. Even when I had money and a job they refused to do monthly payments and I cannot get a large enough loan from my bank or anywhere else. This is my final year to get it done or I'll become part of the 41%. Please help me i need any advice on how I can get money. I (18ftm) go to school full time, I get the military funding but it doesn’t last that long for me. Due to my mental health problems both my parents kicked me out (divorce) but my aunt owns the place so my rent is 800 but I get paid about 1,500.

For a few months I been looking for a part-time job, I don’t have a car so I been looking for jobs near my place. Most are either full time or not hiring. I emailed the lgbtq center because they have an internship program but they haven’t emailed me back.

My parents said they will help me but they kind of haven’t. I mean my mom does but she has a whole thing going on so she doesn’t also have the resources to help. My dad just doesn’t, No matter how many times I till him I’m struggling to find a job he keeps saying he can’t help people that don’t help themselves.

So I’m thinking…maybe I should be a camboy. I don’t have any useful stills, my accounts aren’t big enough to commission my art, and I’m desperate. But if I do it could fuck up my life. What if my family finds out? What if my future job search find out? How will people look at me? How will my future look at me? I could get kicked out of here too my mom’s family are very bigoted I had to lie to both my mom and Nana about transitioning.

Sure, trans women are real, in that they’re living and breathing people. That doesn’t mean that they’re biological women. It’s literally in the term, “trans women,” after all.
