If the jobs only exist because of tariffs isn't that not just relying on the teat of the government ? If you want people to feel a sense of pride in work why not jsut have employment requirements attached to government housing programs then.

You should read more about this rather than speculate which pieces cant fit together; the only reason the American dollar is overvalued is due to an infinite demand due to reserve status, the simple way to balance the price of the dollar vs other currencies for trading is (SURPRISE!) tariffs (or if youre warren buffet, a market controlled instrument speculated on by investors that function as tariffs)
