Pope Francis in December 2023 transferred money from his personal account to purchase drones for the Ukrainian army. This was reported by journalist Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to him, a fundraiser was announced for the soldiers of the 93rd Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar." At that time, a trusted representative of the Pope called him and offered help.

Thanks to the fundraiser, two drones were purchased, but the Pope also paid for a third drone, which they wanted to name in his honor, but "decided someone might guess." So the third drone was named "Santa," and the donor – "Secret Santa."

Yet apropos of that, Pope Francis who never condemned the invasion except in vague terms of condemning war generally, apparently funded some Ukrainian Army drones.

If someone who sees themselves as contrarian doesn't take care to inform themselves fully (which is hard given work and family) they tend unfortunately to become rope a dope easy prey for anti-Western tyrants.

Well they'd never call themselves that. But yea it's low effort (often low IQ people) or those far to invested emotionally to still think straight.
They are in a way the biggest victims of just how shit the mainstream media has become in the West. It's left them out in the wild and the wolves know just how to get to them.
The best way to tackle russian/chinese misinformation isn't censorship it is making sure your media isn't censoring things all the time.
Keep the sheep out of the wilds and the wolves will go away or starve.

Have to literally scorched earth and mass grass the entire U.S. media apparatus and people first. At best without bloodshed, is to make them remove the lie of them being, paraphrasing here, "fair, balanced and impartial" and have them marked as the political mouthpieces that they are. Since the greatest lie the dead tree media told the American people was "yellow journalism is dead," and most of them bought it.

Which sounds like Shapiro taking the normal approach of "you have to increase pressure on Russia to get them to negotiate", that Trump's admin has been despising since the start. I don't bother keeping up with Shapiro, but this is just common sense stuff.

It is somewhat significant though if he's visiting Ukraine to ratchet up support for the country. As there haven't been many, if any, media figures on the Right willing to be all that supportive of the country as it's become the norm to just do mental gymnastics for how Trump must be right to want to cut off all support.

In other news, we have Trump being pissed that Zelensky isn't wanting to just write off Crimea in return for nothing. Still no sign of him growing a backbone when it comes to Russia.

America had been bending the knee to the Soviet Union/Russia since FDR got elected. With the exception of Reagan, every POTUS since FDR had bent the knee because of Soviet/Russia nukes are pointed at the United States.
