Fully part of PC but they get to keep their old characters or reference them very openly (Jelly's alt/Past Life is called Moonjelly), although i think some like Ember just joined in with a full redesign and name compared to her old Kalyn persona, same with Dizzy, but Dizzy makes fun of her old Slugma persona from her Tsunderia days from time to time

Phase connect keeps their generations in the training pipeline for extended periods of time. The flash-to-bang time on gen 3 was something like eight months and Hina (as near as we can tell, a honest-to-god newbie who applied because she’s a Pippa fan girl) mentioned doing test streams; they basically run Vtuber boot camp.

Invaders are kind of an ad hoc group for people that phase knows and likes. So that they can bring in people that they consider vetted in small drops of two or three and have them all in the same unit.

Generally speaking the culture of this thread has been not to dox vtubers just for existing; there were some people like that earlier in the thread's history, but their extremely cringe behavior (amongst other things a SEAnigger teenager kept using info from here to make "face reveal" videos on youtube) made them an undesireable presence that harshed the chill vibe.

As far as Shondo goes, what people do in actual lolcow threads about specific vtubers is no business of mine. I've never interacted with the Pippa thread and have no plans to do so with the Shondo thread. As long as people follow site rules about not fucking with targets, who cares?

The Invaders concept was originally talents from other corpos left the old one and came to Phase with their models/identity like Lumi and Yuri. That went out the window with the second gen, where they got new names and models that are loosely based off the originals. I think the invaders concept should have been trashed. I'm all for new talents and however they come, but if they aren't bringing over their known identity, it's not any different than just a new gen. How are Dizzy and Ember different than Muyu and Saya?

I hope the concept goes back to its original idea and the new group is bringing over their previous identities.
