IMO we never got a satisfactory answer as to why it was so important to protect the fee-fees of that particular cohort of users the first time around, we just got called stickerniggers. I assume this private profile policy is just part 2 of that same thing. Lacking any further information, one is left to speculate about what could possibly make these sensitive users so special.

This will encourage hit and run.

A low-drama solution is to allow users (except restricted/banned users) to delete posts on their own profiles.
