The Elder Scrolls

Heads up for anybody playing the slop. @shitpostrock on Twitter was streaming it and found out the heavy fog they're using to obscure shitty LODs is what's killing the performance. He said he got +15 after disabling it.
I crashed the first time when the emperor died and that mooncricket guard prompted me to choose my class. Classic Bethesda, lovingly sprinkled with crashes so bad your PS5 scolds you when you reboot it.

Why aren't you chuds playing enderal?

I honestly couldn't give a shit about Bethesda making it body a/b. You make your character in like 5 minutes and never see that option again for the rest of the 100+ hours of gameplay on offer. Anyone that'd choose to buy a game or not purely based on if the character creator says male/female or a/b is deeply unserious.

Nexus going out of their way to ban mods reverting the change and permaban the uploaders is comical and sad though. I imagine the fallout is mostly because the mods topped the charts.

For all of 5 seconds. It's gone now. Well, that or it's hidden for non-users as "adult content" which I doubt.

Edit: Nexus mods browser tab says it's been deleted:

The guy that reuploaded it has been banned too:

I genuinely fucking hate faggots. I didn't used to. I used to think "eh, who cares if they want to live together and call it marriage." But now I realize that it's so much beyond that. We gave them an inch and they took a mile, and they want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

I dunno if this was a surprise drop or if I was just completely out of the fucking loop, but... why? Was there a demand for a remake of Oblivion? Or are they just testing testing to see what the reaction to Elder scrolls 6 is gonna be?
They were probably working on it for a while because they wanted to do the "release skyrim 10,000,000 times" but for Oblivion, but Oblivion is too old and rusty to constantly re-release it. I think they released it so abruptly because Skyblivion (a fan-made Oblivion complete remaster) is slated to release this year, and they wanted to capitalize on the remaster on PC before Skyblivion dropped.

I, for one, will be waiting for Skyblivion. The Oblivion remaster looks like garbage. It's cartoony and plastic looking. It looks like a combination of ESO and a mobile game. The characters are especially hard to stomach, and the animation for harvesting plants is straight out of a phone game. I wouldn't be surprised if they released the game on mobile at some point.

The remaster is cold, sterile, corporate slop. Skyblivion is being made with passion. Even if the remaster has some good or preferable features, I guarantee Skyblivion will be a better overall player experience for fans of the original. And if I'm wrong, I'll never know, because I'm not giving Bethesda my money for a shitty, soulless cartoon reskin. Modern Bethesda couldn't make a game as good as original Oblivion if you held them at gunpoint, so fuck 'em.

It always bothers me how people throw out the point of "it's only two lines of text" or "it's not a big deal" because they never consider the point of "if it's such a small thing then why change it?".
This doesn't benefit anybody. I know idiots make a stink about Pokemon being like "are you a boy or a girl?" but it doesn't ruin the experience for any rational person to acknowledge that these are male and female bodies so just keep it as "male or female". It's that simple. If they really need to change it, just don't call them body types because that's not even the right word it.

I might be late to this, but did someone upload it somewhere else? This was to be expected since it obviously wasn't the first time their mod team were faggots.

What I don't get is why so many other games that don't have Steam Workshop rely on Nexus for mods but Grand Theft Auto has like 20 different sites for people to upload mods. You'd think they would make sites for said games to give more variety.
Anyways seeing all of this mod stuff reminded me of that mod that turned Cyrodiil into Ram Ranch and one of the cowboys at the Ranch was Gavin Newsom.

I feel like people have been telling me Skyblivion is right around the corner for years though. If it's not out by the end of this year I'm considering it vaporware.

It's less not knowing to go to Balmora, but how unimportant the main questline seems in tone, so it's like "I talked to 20 people that told me to go places, and I can't remember which quest was which."
"Take this package to a dude a few miles away" isn't very indicative of it being the main questline.
It is an old game. You should keep a pen and paper journal to track all information in as you play. This actually increases the immersion imho.
(you need to do this for very many old JRPGs too)
