I feel like people have been telling me Skyblivion is right around the corner for years though. If it's not out by the end of this year I'm considering it vaporware.

AFAIK they never announced a timeline prior to the recent announcement, in which they say it's planned to be released this year. Could be wrong though. Even if it released in 2026 instead of 2025, I'd still rather wait for it than buy this sub-par remaster.

I think it is EXTREMELY FUCKED UP that they remove mods that changes body type to male/female or make a lesbian romance in a game available for hetero characters... but they allow mods that changes Laezel and Shadowheart into dudes and another mod that even changes their pronouns and VOICE with ai into male. I found this fuckin disgusting.
I wanted to sub to the nexus cause Im doing a lot of modding but its never gonna happen.

Mod Author should be on his best behavior till the end of time so they don’t immediately ban him in the future, he should make a different account so they never have a reason to ban him and get it removed.

That's not what I'm talking about. The journal system lists quests, and the more you have, the less important others seem. Just because you've autistically 100%ed the game 50 times this week doesn't mean someone else will remember that quest as supar important. When you have a journal full of quests, importance of each gets muddled. That said, even the quest we're speaking about didn't SOUND important. Oblivion gives you "The Emperor is dead. Find his heir and give him his birthright." That speaks of much more importance than "deliver this bag of pinto beans to Señor Martinez in Guadalupe."

It's very ironic how they try to be gender-neutral yet still separates genders between body types. Can't you just put it as "male" and "female" with extensive options to make feminine-looking men and masculine-looking women (along with traditionally masculine men and traditionally feminine women, obviously) and an option to put your characters' gender as "other" at the end when you're done customizing it if you want a non-binary self-insert and be referenced as "they"?

It's honestly eye-opening to see how rage is generated by changing a few text boxes, updating the physics engine slightly, and fixing the janky faces.

They didn't fix the faces at all, the faces in the remaster are fucking disgusting and terrifying. Say what you want about the og Oblivion's faces but you didn't need to have a barf bag on hand and worry about getting nightmares from looking at a random npc.

The only positive thing I can say about the remaster is that creating horrific monsters with the character creator seems just as fun as it did in the original.
