Fuck. That explains why everything was so ugly and washed out in KCD2 instead of running around in my gloriously shining armor and gloriously eye-searing gold brocade outer layer to make all the poor fags shrivel up and die from Henry's sheer glow like in the first game.

I'm glad that you are excited to pay $60 to have your old games sanitized to meet modern sensibilities but I'm not defending a company shoehorning current era propaganda into a 20 year old game that's beloved by millions. Even if it's "just a little bit of propaganda" it's still too much. There is no room in our culture (or any culture) for this transgender poison and there's especially no room for it in my fucking entertainment. It's literally one of the first things you see when you boot the game up.

You act like it's so unreasonable to expect a game to refer to men as men and women as women. It's kinda fucked up tbh.

I have no emotional investment in this, but one thing stuck out to me. I’ve been staring at the two different designs for Khajiit/Argonians trying to put my finger on what went so wrong.

It has to do with the textures and lack of art direction. If you look back at the old designs, it feels hand-crafted. As if someone tried to develop a general, cohesive design with modular pieces and colors that looked good together. You can “feel” the design, because someone actually took the time to add texture to the textures!

The new designs are quite barren and seem to have no rhyme or reason for the way they’re put together. Perhaps a product of it being outsourced?
