Of the players available, I wanted Will Johnson or one of the DEs. I get taking a WR, but there were bigger needs.
They did it to get the crowd crazy and to day it's their first 1st round wr in decades, picked at the draft in Green Bay. Such fanfare, much wow. This office has the best picks in later rounds anyway.

I don't pay attention to college ball or prospects so I'm glad his name plays on the team colors, at least lol hope he don't got bread hands and can catch the ducks Love launches.

The Falcons (who traded for this pick with the Rams) pick James Pearce Jr

Edit: Ravens pick Malaki Starks

Double post but the Lions pick Tyleik Williams

Huh, thought for sure the Steelers were gonna bite on Sanders, go for full Days of Our Steelers. Guess they're still waiting on Rodgers?

My belief is that Steelers and Rodgers already have a handshake deal in place. The Steelers are letting Rodgers do his spiritual bullshit during the offseason so it doesn't look bad when he's signed to the team but not participating in the OTAs and stuff like that. He'll be there for training camp.

That seems too clever for Art II, I think he may be fully deluded enough to let Tomlin ride with Mason Rudolph acting as a bridge for a day 2 QB. I think after the Killer Bs the Steelers as an org are eager to avoid media controversy or drama, which Rodgers will attract no matter what, because his hatedom is obsessive and honestly more annoying than he is at this point.

EDIT: Shadeur falling out of the first round is made all the funnier when you remember that CU retired his number last week

The amount of relief from Tree And Five when neither of their teams drafted Sanders was exhilarating. How do you fuck up interviews that badly?
Did you see his draft setup? With a couch emblazoned with a "LEGACY" hashtag? Take the mind behind that, and imagine him in an interview. Dude's had every accolade besides stuff that solely measures on the field performance thrown at him and probably has the ego to match.
Take that, put it in the package of a player who probably has his most favorable professional comp as Alex Smith, as his ceiling, and attach a boatload of guaranteed media attention and a father who is a) a HOF player himself, b) a legendary diva in his own right, and c) his college coach, and it's really no surprise the entire league passed on him, at least in the first round.
But I bet you the Browns GM is currently trying to sell Stefanski on the idea that falling out of the first is totally enough to check that ego, so they should draft him first thing tomorrow, and Haslam's probably already on board because it'll get butts in seats and distract from Watson finally being taken out behind the shed.
