Is that a new ban reason?
It should be, otherwise they'd just outright b& me as per usual, instead of this patronizing warning.
>New reasons to ban you
>Messages still have Moot and Snacks like it's still 2007

It has become abundantly clear to me over the past year or so that the mods/jannies want to keep /tg/ aligned with certain narratives. Alot of them are actively hostile, negative, or simply promote shitflinging. Just like Reddit, /tg/mods have a very specific dedication to what they think tabletop SHOULD be, and will actively protect anyone who attacks dissenters because it drives those people away.

It breaks my heart because the handful of times I found some of the "normal" folk left on /tg/ the discussions are still wonderful.

But it's clear that mods/jannies are trying to kill such niches and discussions in favor of turning the board into their own little plaything.

And worst of all, like you said, where the fuck do you go? TTRPGs as a hobby have been infested with some of the most insufferable kinds of people nowadays. Reddit, Discord, etc. All of it is they/them LGBTQIA tier hugboxes where you'll get lambasted for making a character that doesn't like Orcs.

Fuck this, man.
Just curious, does all the /tg/ drama have to do with the tranny community trying to force themselves into the 40k lore?

They can hide the servers behind a proxy so that no SSH access will be possible without connecting from a very specific IP address. So no, I don't think it will be hacked anymore, assuming they've hardened their network infrastructure.
If you get root access like the guy did it doesn't matter, also it was behind Cloudflare so it was proxied to begin with.

Do they really think they will be able to suppress that information being posted? ...
They’ll use fear and scare tactics and issue out bans until you comply. How do you think people break beasts of burden that attack or kick everywhere or how people broke slaves and serfs? They abused and punished them for even thinking against their masters until they complied. Thats how we have cattle and your average anon.

There is a thread on /tg/ RIGHT NOW that has posts bitching about the jannies and mods RIGHT NOW and it's still active, with new posts coming in frequently about the subject. This one's likely being watched because there's 1 or 2 deleted posts, so I can't help but wonder what precisely they think they're doing, banning posts about the subject but not banning THIS specific post.
The thread got Shoahed immediately after people started talking about moving to the Farms, on the grounds that there are some good TTRPG threads here and you can say the nigger-word.

You can't get root access if a firewall is making sure a random IP can't connect to port 22. It was proxied, sure, but I guess they either did not block port 22 on the main server or the hacker's payload issued firewall commands as root through the posted "PDF". And no, the latter option won't work if you isolate your imageboard software and whatnot that's running inside the server properly.
