The spillover I see most frequently is BP posters responding to A&N threads about women's issues or the latest horrific murderrape. Most of the time they post some perfectly reasonable response to the article in question that the resident incels decide to dogpile, sometimes it's obvious bait that the aforementioned all trip over each other to bite first.
That aside even if I'm idly scrolling down the main page and click into the man-hate thread to see the ladies in there venting, I'd have to be some kinda profound retard to get actually, genuinely mad and wade in to respond.

A&H is totally unusable outside of USPG2. There's a unique subset of poster that joins and racks up 10,000 posts in two months before getting banned because all they do is post rage bait and reply to rage bait.

The real problem I suspect is that it sits right there in the middle of the front page, so you get people refreshing and listlessly scrolling up and down who go "Oh what's this I see here hm there was a post in the man-hate thread, it wouldn't hurt to give it a little look..." and BAM, the trap's sprung. You saw a dumb opinion and now you're annoyed and banned.

The woman hate thread is down in the politi-spam section of the site getting drowned out constantly by other debate threads, which is arguably where something like that belongs, while the female-centric gender wars threads basically get an entire, highly visible board to themselves, constantly tempting people to click on it. Even new users are going to come to the site, see that, and there's no way they won't click on something as salacious sounding as the "Official kiwifarms man-hate thread".

The whole OT is in large part a dedicated bait board at this point, realistically.

Personally I'd recommend just ublocking BP OT then pretending it doesn't exist.
