All the H-1B talk had me thinking back to Operation Paperclip and I got curious how many German scientists we even actually brought over here. The number was 1,600.

That got us ICBMs.

There are 85,000 H-1B visas granted every year. What are we getting for it?
Caste discrimination laws

How "deepfakes" are defined is left ambiguous though. This would be a matter to determine at trial. And as many lolsuits have show, the process is a punishment all its own when trials take literal years of legal wrangling to get too. Imagine if Keffals had this law when the Queens Fart Throne was a posted. He could have just claimed it was a Deep Fake and sued the farms. Whether it was a Deep Fake or not would not have been material as Null would have still had to shell out a bazillion dollars to fight the lawsuit off.

The law needs a corollary too it. It needs reverse sanctions mandatory, costs and fees for the defense, plus with punitive damages, if the plaintiffs claim of a video being fake turns out to be false. Without that this law won't be used for anything good. It will be used for everything bad.
Make no mistake, Keffals is going to. It's about regular porn as well, reading more about it. It's the DCMA on crack. A relentless law that MUST be obeyed.

(((they))) could have avoided a law like this if (((they))) had just taken videos down the second anyone claimed it was a video of them as a minor but i guess that was just too hard

can you be a devils advocate and explain why it's bad this passed?
It creates unlimited CRIMINAL liability for every website and allows takedown notices with presumptive guilt where you basically just have to take their word for it or risk getting the government up your ass. This is basically a get out of jail free card and seriously incentivizes hosting offshore.

Btw still no fair access to financial services. Trump has so far been as good to me as Harris would have been

I got some insight from a friend in retail about how they're being effected by the tariffs. He supervises a warehouse for Harbor Freight Tools and shared with me that recently their corporate overlords called out to all 1,600 locations instructing them to limit part-time employees to only work 12 hours a week on top of cutting back overall operating hours. The CEO had to come out and vow that no stores would be closed and that the changes were to ensure that :optimistic:.

If you're unfamiliar with Harbor Freight just know 99% of what they sell is cheap chineese garbage.

My friend also shared that all the shipments they get off trucks have also been shrinking rapidly and that they were told to no longer preform audits, cycle counts and other logistics reports presumably because in a few more weeks there wont be anything to count anyways.

Any number of lolcows could demand we take things down and get it taken down. Keffal's fart porn, for example.
It's literally just one small adjustment to an EU style "right to be forgotten" law where anyone can demand their embarrassing or criminal shit be removed from web hosts.

Edit: Does it even have a "lol no, this is an obvious lie / abuse of the law" clause for web hosts to contest or reject claims? Because if not, I can immediately think of a dozen ways to abuse this to harass people. Reddit, Imgur, Facebook, any website with user submittable content (read: the entire post web 1.0 internet) is vulnerable to attack through this.

That Pepe meme someone uploaded? It, along with every single other image uploaded to imgur in the past 15 years, is getting an AI generated automatic takedown request under this law the first week, guaranteed. Which apparently requires they remove first and ask questions never or they are guilty of a crime.

That's just the easiest way I can think of harassing a site using this, they get rapidly worse the more you think about it. (Do not make suggestions, idiots like Dong Long Gone don't need help.)

May as well get on the soap box and start screaming into the void. Its just a signature away. Get it on the record now so Hardin can cite it later.

In conclusion: Rolling Stone has always been a hippy political editorial magazine that occasionally wrote an album review.
It was also founded by and ran by a Jew. He sold it a while a go to some venture capitalist firm some magazine company. They also own, among other zines, Variety, Deadline Hollywood, Billboard, and The Hollywood Reporter.

edit: his name is Jann Wenner.

Because a lot of celebrities want their nudes scrubbed. This bill got bipartisan support
Hope you gooners downloaded all the fappening porn you wanted.

Could this fuck with porn sites in general? i imagine they're gonna get absolutely hammered with takedown requests by girls who regret being in videos. Even if they signed a consent form and contract i doubt they'll be able (or be willing) to fight the power of the government on it.
