Holy SHIT this is fucking dire, this man is 34 years old and can't fucking speak for himself without his wife to do it for him. That's not cute or sweet, that's a symptom of a much bigger problem. It's normal for a child in kindergarten who hasn't socialized outside of his parents to act like this, it's not normal for a grown adult man who has previously shown himself to be able to speak for himself confidently.

This bitch has eroded Ian's confidence so much so that he can't even allow himself to speak with out her approval. Ian has been so mentally broken that he needs every single word that comes out of his mouth to be vetted by Anisa. I can't imagine what happens when he breaks conditioning or steps even slightly out of line. There's no way these two have actual two-sided adult arguments or disagreements that are normal for any relationship. Ian probably just gets scolded like a bad dog and takes it.

When Anisa inevitably divorces him, and if Ian somehow manages to gain his spine back, it'll be interesting to hear just how and why she had so much control over him.
