We could already just buy it from them which is not really different than what would happen if Canada were annexed. The advantage of not annexing Canada is that we don't have to deal with an ornery Francophone minority or the millions of jeets they've imported.

90% of Canada's population lives within 100 miles of the US border. The idea that they're a potential Chinese vassal state we need to scoop up ASAP is laughable at best.

EDIT: Not to mention that I'd prefer the US taxpayer not be on the hook for the pension crunch that Canada is currently under due to it having a significantly more aged population than the US.

Sometimes older people can do something stupid even if they understand the general concept of a technology. Had to talk to an elderly person on the phone the other day about how yes their laptop likely did have a power button and the 10 or so minutes trying to figure out this was the problem is fresh in my mind (they don't have dementia or something).

In Trump's case, I think he got handed this photo that had MS-13 edited on, was told by overly confident staff like Stephen Miller how Abrego Garcia actually had this MS 13 on the knuckles, then blindly accepted it was really on there due to not questioning that what his staff was telling him was accurate and not noticing how obviously different the pixels are. Which would mean he's being led around by the nose by his staff who can tell him most anything and he won't question it.

See, that’s all you need to do when talking to people who politely disagree with you.

This whole throwing punches wildly like “penetrated!” jabs and “bible thump!” haymakers actually makes people who are critical of Trump turn around and exit the room. They might criticize him here and there but as soon as you suggest that he might be wrong on trade or state that maybe we shouldn’t eliminate rule of law to remove illegal aliens you are hit with a wave of hostility.

You are not allowed to say anything negative about Trump’s policies or the MAGA viewpoint. Say that a judge checking Trump’s power is good and the response is to accuse you of wanting Latino gangbangers to tape your family.

It’s not that dissimilar to other political hugboxes on the Internet. The difference is that you don’t get banned for having the minority opinion and are free to call anyone a retard.

I can see the logic of it from his perspective as he and his base have really solidified on the idea that any resistance (not in the gay histrionic Twitter hashtag way) to them is somehow an attack against them. It very grug-like thinking where if they punch you, but you punch back, then your reactive punch is proof that they had to punch you first.

Donald J. Trump the person is literally "winning" at every moment of every day. He lifts not a single atom of his being to do domestic work; being waited on 24/7 for cleaning, laundry, transportation, cooking (always remember that Trump prefers his steaks well done with ketchup), etc. He is surrounded by yes-men so his ego and sense of superiority is never challenged. Further still he quite literally has the power to ruin the lives and careers of people who do challenge him ensuring that his ego is always getting fatter. Because of the position he now holds anyone who matters has to listen to him, has to meet him, has see him, has to be polite to him, etc. There is never a moment where a cameraman, Trumps favorite person, isn't ready to watch and listen indefinitely. He has lead an immoral scandalous life filled with sexual and financial criminality that has only ever rewarded him with more power, money and cabalic connections.

Stripping away the politics and looking just at Trumps pathology, where only he alone matters, how could he be anything but winning right now?
