I don't really see how having a public girlfriend exonerates him from having a secret groomed girlfriend at the same time. It doesn't help that he went on to say that all his girlfriends are always his age or older because that's just obviously false.
Now, I do not keep up with the latest developments, but the news alert said that this was about RazörFist. Who is the polychromatic person, on-screen? I thought Daniel was not a coloured person.
The whole "I don't want to listen to a 19-minute video, but I still want to have an opinion about it" shit really bothers me. No matter the subject.
I don't know yet whether I think that the stuff that he said was true or not. But it's worth at least hearing out.
But to meet people halfway, here's a summary:
The accusation that Razor dated someone underage is going around the internet again. Razor's annoyed, and has decided to address it.
He also thinks that he's more important than he is, and that his response to the detractors will END THEIR CAREERS!
Calm down, man.
Per the supposed timeline of events, Razor says that he would have to have dated the person in question in 2015 for the ages to line up as claimed.
To contradict this, he offers:
Brief voice samples of some other woman who was on his Razorfist Arcade streams at that time, and whom Razor claims was an older white woman with a higher voice, who was his actual girlfriend at the time.
But he also offers:
Nothing to authenticate whose voice that is.
Nothing to prove that she was even physically present in the room.
No argument as to how her being there in the room during his streams would have precluded him from having been in any other relationship.
No comment about anything from earlier in 2015 than the mid-March stream that he points to as his earliest example of this girl being around.
There's circumstantial evidence, of course, which makes it seem likely that the way that he's portraying his relationship with this girl was honest and accurate. It seems incredibly likely that she was actually there, and that they were at least friendly with one another.
But what he's offering is far from definitive. Yet he's treating it as if it is.
Razor then plays a brief snippet of a conversation that he had with his friend and stream co-host, Terran.
Razor asks Terran to confirm the details that he's already shared (her nickname was "Ladyfist," she was white, older, she was around for a while), and Terran does.
In court, eyewitness testimony is evidence, to be weighed against other pieces of evidence...
But these two are also longtime friends, so of course you'd expect that they might support each other irrespective of the truth.
I'm sure that Razor kept the clip brief to keep up the pace of his video, but by cutting out any of the set-up or other context aside from the exact quotes that Razor was looking for, it makes it sound as if he's just quote-mining Terran.
Razor continues to do himself no favors in his presentation.
Razor then includes another voice clip of the girl from a time when she played a role for him in a Shadow radio drama, in 2016.
If you're already super-familiar with the voice, as Razor is, then I'm sure that the voice sticks out as clearly as Sean Connery. To me, it's so brief and ordinary-sounding that it could be a lot of people.
Also, if it is the same girl, her voice role here doesn't prove anything other than the fact that "she was still around." It doesn't prove or preclude anything from having happened in the intervening time.
I had my mom lend her voice to help with a video for a high school project once. It doesn't prove that we were fucking.
Razor points to the many stream appearances of "Ladyfist" and asks why, if we're entertaining the idea that he might've had another, secret, underaged girlfriend at the time, nobody ever made this accusation back then, when everyone in his audience knew about "Ladyfist" and believed that she was his girlfriend.
Maybe because it would have been a secret. Or maybe because the timeline doesn't actually line up like he's saying.
I think that he's probably telling the truth, but "if it were true, people would have said something!" is just not a real argument, let alone a convincing one.
Razor is very, very mad at Smash JT and Kino Casino.
Razor claims to have more "receipts," presumably meaning evidence of some kind, that he says that he can still drop.
But he hasn't shared it yet, because... reasons? Even though he implies that it would help his case?
Razor acknowledges that people could accuse Terran, his friend, of lying for him.
To counter this, he plays... another voice clip of "Ladyfist." Just to show that she doesn't sound like the accuser. But he's already played her voice, and pointed out that this girl had a bunch of appearances on his streams. So it adds nothing new.
Razor then brings up the accuser, for contrast.
He plays a recording of a low-quality phone conversation in which a woman's voice threatens to attack his reputation online, makes crazy ultimatums, and (while we don't hear her make the threats herself) doesn't deny Razor's accusation that she threatened him with physical violence, but instead justifies it.
Whoever this is, she does sound fucking crazy.
But we don't have any context for the conversation beyond this clip.
And because of how bad the quality is from the phone speaker, I honestly cannot tell if this is meant to be a different person; or if this is the same voice as the clips that he's been playing of "Ladyfist," and she just turned out to be a psycho.
Razor refers to the accuser only as "my ex."
I think it's meant to be "Ladyfist" after a BPD Jekyll & Hyde twist, but this isn't clear.
He lists off a number of threats that his ex made to him, and shows an image of a text conversation in which she threatens to kill him, and then justifies it.
Again, that image of the texts could be real... but people fake screenshots all the time. Does he really not get how unconvincing all of this is?
(Assuming that this is all true: ) For him, he's lived it. He got the text messages. He had the conversation. He knows that it was real. But is he so unable to see beyond his own experiences that he really doesn't get that a mere fucking PNG is not convincing to everyone else who wasn't there?
File charges, subpoena your carrier for the text logs, and have your phone forensically imaged.
Until then, it might as well be a photoshop. Razor's been online for long enough. He knows the rules.
Razor compares his relationship with his ex to Amber Heard and Jodi Arias.
He says that his ex actually attempted to murder him, which prompted him to their relationship.
After ending the relationship, he says that he learned that she had been diagnosed with BPD.
He shows more purported text messages from her admitting to having BPD and urging him to understand her and not leave her.
He also claims to have read a book about how to deal with BPD patients (which urged people to just get away from them), which then prompted him to do just that and leave her.
This confuses the timeline of events. Did he learn that his ex had BPD before he left her, or after?
It's an odd detail, maybe just sloppy, but ultimately (probably) not that relevant.
After their relationship ended, Razor claims that his ex continued to threaten and attempt to blackmail him, with threats for both physical harm and online reputation attacks.
He includes more screenshots, purportedly of her taking credit for various attacks against his reputation.
Razor again likens his situation to Johnny Depp dealing with Amber Heard, and is quite upset that people took her side.
He references a twitter hack (I'm out of the loop on this one) in which some screenshots apparently seemed to support her claims against him. Razor then points to his own screenshots of text conversations between her and someone else in which she denies it all.
Razor offers only two options: either she was lying before (when making the accusations), or she's lying now (when denying them).
The third option, of course, is that any part of this could've been fake, since, again, they're fucking screenshots. They don't truly prove shit.
So, instead of actually disproving things, as Razor initially set out to do, he's just lowering himself into an internet slapfight of "nuh-uh" and "uh-huh"s.
Razor's conclusion, following from the two options that he gave, is that she's a liar either way, so you can't trust anything that she says.
As he's speaking, he also references "all of my girlfriends," which makes it harder to know whether his alleged BPD ex is supposed to be the same person as "Ladyfist" or not.
Razor plays two more clips, taken through another terrible-quality microphone, of his ex seemingly admitting that all of her various blackmail attempts have been lies.
Again, the clips are so cut down in the interest of speed that there's no context. There's nothing to authenticate who this is, or what else they were referencing... you know the drill by now.
And this honestly sounds like a third different person's voice, but the mic is so shit that I can't tell.
Razor then claims that he never had sex with his ex, since he was saving himself for marriage.
In vague terms, he also seems to say that he'd had sex with past girlfriends, but he's unclear about it.
He later refers to himself as a virgin, as does his ex, making this even less clear.
He plays another out-of-context voice clip of her saying this.
He also offers the fact that they never ended up getting married, so he couldn't have had sex with her, per his decision to save himself for marriage!
As if that's proof. As if people don't just go back on that.
But he shares it as if it defeats the idea that he ever could've done anything sexually untoward with anyone ever. Or at least with her.
I'm starting to wonder if he's slightly retarded.
Razor shares what he learned from that book about BPD to explain how his ex pretended to be normal and managed to trick him for a while.
Razor also addresses the allegation that he made and uploaded his own porn.
He makes a passing reference at it being low-quality.
Thus, it could have been anybody who looked kind of similar. Right?
He points to the incredibly-retarded and error-filled description as proof that such a wordsmith as himself couldn't have written that.
To be fair, it is suspicious as fuck.
But that's still not definitive proof of anything one way or another. People can pretend to be retards, too.
He notes that it was uploaded multiple times from the same account.
Presumably because the fact that it's repeated behavior is supposed to be consistent with it being part of a harassment campaign.
But nothing would stop a genuine uploader from uploading something multiple times, too.
He does a lot of "this should never have been convincing in the first place," but hardly any "let me convince you that this is wrong."
I suppose that you can't really prove a negative.
But if he's trying to quash these rumors instead of just directing people toward them, then I'd still expect a bit more of an effort to render the rumors impossible.
Razor explains how, back in 2011, someone was going through his subscriber list (something that you could do on old YouTube) and sending them all this video directly, claiming that it was him, as a means of trying to embarrass and harass him.
He explains that he had to take down and reupload his videos at the time, which is why his channel is from 2009, but his earliest video was uploaded in 2011.
I don't know how anyone could prove this whole chain of events at this point, but his account seems plausible.
