The Elder Scrolls

Yeah but I miss the feeling like when you went to solstheim for the first time and you see just completely different culture from morrowind or from the imperial who had their own architecture and culture in places like forts.

I think oblivion and skyrim went too much towards a singular biome and singular culture. Even the colovian clothing in morrowind also hinted at a fairly different subculture in cyrodil as well.
Yeah agreed. Dont get me wrong, I think a lot of the choices Beth have made are poor ones, my nord god sperging is just because it seems like it takes more effort to remove them vs having them and results in a less interesting environment and story. I do wish that we could experience the various locations as close as they are to lore within reason. A lot of players want the next game in their favourite province, I want them kept away so it doesn't have all the unique weirdness wringed out of it. I think Morrowboomers are so fixated on TES3 is because it was so unique of a setting, it gave everyone hope that all of the cool lore about a culture or location would be in the game set there because they pulled off arguably the weirdest one excellently.

The only part of modding Starfield that appeals to me is turning it into a Star Wars game. Even then the game performs, looks, and feels like ass no matter what you do to it. And like OR it's too fucking big. There is nothing about Starfielf that justifies its size, and I mean that in both the absurd amount of empty, shitty planets and the amount of disk space it takes up.
They created a Daggerfall like system and forgot that Daggerfall generates a shitload of completely random maps -- and without those (they call it a POI and there aren't that many of them in Starfield... and they're not randomly generated) it just falls apart. Just another consequence of the millennial douchefucks wearing Bethesda like a skinsuit -- the so called "B Team" that fucked up F76, took Starfield and fucked it up while the main team was fixing 76, and is currently fucking up the Starfield DLCs and salivating at the chance of fucking up TES6 to stick it to the chuds. They don't know WHY the game design choices were made (and then fucked up by people simplifying them for idiots), so they don't know how to do them right.

The new content from the remaster isn’t half bad. Hopefully some modder ports it to the original so people can have mods and the new dlc.
I wonder if the modified leveling system and perks and stuff can be backported. They seem moderately interesting.

There is a mod for Morrowind that lets you explore Skyrim according to old lore.
Seems pretty cool. I think it's techincally not a part of TR.

Redguards are just Nords with more melanin.
They are a bit more Japanesey but that will probably change.
Tamriel rebuilt will never be finished. Morroblivion never got finished. Skyblivion also will never be finished
Dude, Tamriel Rebuilt has already released several Morrowinds worth of content for mainland Vvardenfell and the Cyrodiil group, which is a different team entirely, released a massive chunk of content already. If they stopped tomorrow you would still have enough content to make Morrowind a 1000+ hour game.

Skyblivion is well on its way to completion. I have followed it for years, the authors are very dedicated and organized, it's release is inevitable.

I agree you shouldn't count on massive mod projects like they're a given but you picked two of the worst examples. It's Skywind and Beyond Skyrim that are never ever going to come out.

The teams all share assets but yes, technically different.

Do you know the definition of "finish", you fucking cretin?

Empty cities and land isn't content. It's a tech demo at best.

Morrowind was also panned by contrarians on release and denounced as the start of "consolification" of TES. Yes, even despite the fucking Windows-like UI you'd never want to navigate without a mouse and the microscopic text. There is no winning with them.

I also don't get what copium are Skyblivion retards huffing. Tamriel rebuilt will never be finished. Morroblivion never got finished. Skyblivion also will never be finished. These are just portfolios for faggots trying to land a job in the vidya industry. The only fan remake of a game that got finished is fucking Black Mesa.
If Skyblivion is never coming out then explain this exclusive game footage I have. Check and mate.

yeah sorry i always just used the jungle thing as shorthand for all that. on the brightside going down the project tamriel rabbithole apparently theres groups making an arena style (in that its all tamriel) making just the whole continent in morrowind's style and they seem to be much better at fleshing out local cultures and subcultures from what people here post.

theyre part of a sort of ring of mods no?

What threshold do we need to reach to consider a modding project that is more impressive than ninety nine percent of official projects made by full time professional developers finished? My point is that it wouldn't matter, and they could shut down tomorrow and it would be as good as finished.

None of the cities in Tamriel Rebuilt so far are empty minus previews for coming content. And you don't create a fucking tech demo for a finished game on a finished engine. It's new content.

I know that's the in-universe explanation but it's hard to imagine a faith that lasted over 3000 years being wiped out when the Empire is at it's weakest in 200 years.
We've seen it happen IRL with the Cultural Revolution in China completely obliterating historical culture and Native Americans having their entire languages stomped out in a single generation. Even Hebrew was a dead language until about 20 years ago and they wrote the Bible in it.

Not saying you're wrong, it just seems pretty plausible to me, especially since there's Apdmeri psyops involved.
