On the subject of Sonic Adventure, his playthroughs of that series made me wonder something; is it possible that part of why Phil is so terrible at video games is because he has twitchy hands? In the first game there's this one part where he's flying a plane and he moves the plane to each corner of the screen for no real reason. The level "Crazy Gadget" in the second game has you moving Sonic off platforms and dropping onto rails hanging in midair. Phil kept missing them because he kept wiggling Sonic around instead of positioning him properly. Naturally, he blamed this on the game.

Maybe him randomly wiggling the sticks is another example of him engaging in stimming.

I've seen plenty of instances where Phil can't walk a straight line in platformers. If he had some kind of hand-jitters, then it would explain a lot about his gameplay, especially with fighting games. While I don't play fighting games myself, based on the comments I've read and the footage I've seen, Phil has a tendency to mash random inputs in the middle of his input strings, which results in either his moves not coming out like he wanted, or getting a completely random move.

Of course, Phil's explanation for this that Rollback Netcode has some kind of predictive algorithm that learns your own playstyle and uses RNG to determine what kind of move you perform, so someone who uses what he describes as "pattern play" will get their moves every time, while an "intelligent person" such as himself will fumble because he's trying to use mix-ups or whatever, as opposed to the far more-likely explanation that Phil has bad hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

This video has undoubtedly been posted here before, but the Ame (vtuber)/DSP comparison on a Zelda puzzle is mind blowing. She solves it really quickly and he never solves it, just beating the puzzle into submission through dumb luck.

This is peak Phil gameplay, no ideas of what he's doing, no passion, no observation just pure retardation.

The craziest thing is the shrine has a previous area with vehicles that hints at using them to push the balls. Once again Phil isn't observing anything and fucks himself over that way.

That's why it's always fun seeing him play games where the mechanics are suggested rather than right out shown through a pop up window. He'd cry trying to play the witness.

The way he's playing minecraft is also a good illustration of his bankrupt passion and interests in any games :

• He always plays vanilla
• He builds the same giant house made of planks with a bed in the center
• Doesn't want to progress until he has an animal pen with giant fences right against his stupidly large house
• Spends most of the time fishing and not doing anything else
• Only goes mining once he has a shit ton of torches he wont use and food he won't eat

He really would gain playing a modpack but that would require reading and learning something new both things Phil hates.

Same goes for Skyrim or any bethesda game he'd gain doing a modding stream even just browsing the nexus and installing what tickles his interest but once again that would require installing more than one mod, having passion about something and reading... we all know he's allergic to that.

Never in a million years is he going to play Kingdom Come. Not enough yellow paint, he would get stonewalled by the first open ended quest objective that requires you to talk to people and pay attention to dialogue or stealth through a castle. Even though KCD2 definitely holds your hand more than the first game in regards to quest markers. He will just delete the comment and say "I already said I won't play Kingdom Come. Muh wife played it and it looked boring!".

And thank god for that. It's a great game he shouldn't do the disservice of playing poorly and making making a mockery of like every good game he plays.
