Directly from human experimentation we get a ton of info on high altitude, hypothermia treatments, traumatic injury treatment.
Vaccines, antibodies, different methods to immunities was experimented with...
Please source this. Hypothermia stuff was used in our military journals, but I don't remember it being groundbreaking or novel. What did we get in exchange from their unethical human experiments that produced anything noteworthy for us?

Please source this

It's not easy to directly source what you are talking about. Mainly because their is taboo around the use of this information, so it may not get sourced at all. You can easily hop on Google and get a whole slew of writeups on the information being used, from all sorts of sources such as the holocaust meuseum to ethics journals, and so on. But finding direct, I used Dachau experiments in the actual paper it's sourced in, is not easy, at least easy enough for me to find them for you.
My personal stance is you take all of it or none of it, there is no middle ground. We are living in a world partially shaped by the work of nazi scientists and doctors. Whether it's info directly from the Holocaust or not, because Nazi is directly linked to the Holocaust, we wouldn't be having this discussion at all if the Holocaust never existed, because then Nazi wouldn't be taboo.

Here is a pretty recent article written in the health ethics journal from a doctor who has used specific data from hypothermia experiments and talks about multiple nations using it on the other side of WW2.
https://journalofethics.ama-assn.or...information-gathered-nazi-experiments/2021-01

He also arrives at the same point about embracing the data and it's source.

What isn't said, but should be said is regardless of how ugly this info is, it's still invaluable. That doesn't forgive the atrocity but ultimately to the winner goes the spoils, jet, rocket, electron microscope, the fucking VW beetle, etc... you don't get to seperate modern life from the source no matter how uncomfortable it is.

So no, you don't have sources on Nazi human experimentation producing novel results or that Nazis "took this info and it's turned into modern medicine." I already mentioned hypothermia stuff and even your link references debate on its acceptance/utility because the subjects were emaciated, old, and sick. I don't want to tard up the thread, though. null has already come in before with his spurs jingling and jangling. Feel free to post on my profile with any info to support the original claim. Cheers.

Man stumbles under a bus and gets his head crushed - São Paulo, Brazil (2025.04.28)

A 42-year-old man died after being hit by a bus on Monday night (4/28), on Travessa Somos Todos Iguais, in the Jardim da Conquista neighborhood, east of São Paulo. The victim, who appeared to be drunk, fell onto the street while a bus was passing by. The back of the vehicle ran over the man's head.

A security camera positioned on the street captured the moment of the accident.

The images show that the victim was apparently drunk. Staggering, the man lost his balance and fell with his head under one of the wheels of the bus, which was traveling normally.

The bus driver told the police that he stopped at a stop in front of a bar. Then, he continued on his way.

When trying to overtake a white Fiat Uno that was stopped on the road, the driver realized that he had run over something.

The driver then stopped the bus and went to check what it was. That's when he realized that he had run over a person.

He called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and the company responsible for the bus, which provides public transportation services in São Paulo.

The police authorities recorded in a police report that, initially, the case was the sole fault of the victim. An expert was called to investigate possible concurrent fault. The case was registered as negligent homicide while driving a motor vehicle at the 49th Police District (São Mateus).

The driver took a breathalyzer test, which came back negative — he was also taken to the police station to clarify what happened.

Allied jet engines were objectively superior to the shit the Nazis were knocking together from scraps. Also, just a reminder, while the Me 262's first flight technically predated the Gloster Meteor's, this was done with a version of the 262 powered by a piston engine and props because they couldn't get their shitty Nazi jet engines working for long enough to actually do the damned test flight and Der Führer was demanding that the 262 fly or else. Wehraboos hate this fact, but the Meteor was the first aircraft to actually fly under jet power, the Meteor was the first to enter service AND the first to actually get an air-to-air kill (almost NONE of the 262's kills actually line up with confirmed Allied aircraft losses and it's well known that German pilots abused the fact that they weren't actually required to confirm kills to pad their wallets), and the Meteor would have happily clowned on the 262 any day of the week, any time of day, in any weather conditions. As for rocketry, Goddard and Korolev were worth more than a hundred Von Brauns. Cope and seethe, Wehraboos.

Can someone explain whats with people killing themselves while in a shooting range or while taking gun classes? Is that a trend?

Easier to get access to a gun that way
Probably also some bullshit about "wanting to be remembered" or "making others suffer emotionally like I did" because why not dedicated your final moment on Earth as a way to make someone else's day to be ruined like the selfish prick you really are.

It's the same as jumping into traffic or a train. It's a selfish act is all it really comes down to especially if you need another person to be essentially involved. If they were so deadset leaving this god awful plain of existence why not go deep into the bush, desert or wherever secluded and then just off yourself. At least the people who care for you will have some hope of you coming back until it's too late to care

Chase suspect dies after high-speed pursuit ends in violent crash on 210 Freeway in La Crescenta

By Leo Stallworth
Friday, May 2, 2025 5:52PM

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A high-speed pursuit of a grand theft suspect ended in a deadly crash when the driver slammed into the back of a dump truck on Friday morning on the 210 Freeway in La Crescenta.

The ongoing investigation into the deadly crash caused a traffic mess on the 210 Freeway eastbound in the Montrose area as authorities worked to remove debris from the freeway. All eastbound lanes were opened around 7:30 p.m.

The chase through the San Fernando Valley began just before 11 a.m. when authorities responded to a radio call of a grand theft in progress at a Target store in Camarillo, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

The high-speed pursuit of the black hatchback made its way into Los Angeles on the 118 Freeway, moving onto surface streets before returning to the freeway and reaching speeds over more than 100 mph.

"He was driving on the shoulder extremely erratically, passing traffic, passing vehicles," a witness told ABC7.

The witness said that based on how fast the suspect was driving, he knew it would turn out for the worst if the suspect didn't take his foot off the gas.

As the dangerous pursuit continued on the eastbound 210 Freeway in the Montrose area, the suspect suddenly smacked into the back end of a moving dump truck near the Ocean View onramp, and the mangled car came to a stop in the middle of the lanes.

"The crash occurred when the suspect vehicle hit the back of a dump truck, at which time the driver of the vehicle lost control, and the pursuit came to an end," said Sgt. Dan Keene with California Highway Patrol.

"It sounded like a sonic boom or something. It was very loud and, without even seeing the collision, you knew it was going to be bad just by the way it sounded," the witness said. "I saw the cops trailing him, I saw him hit the back of the truck, and then that's when I got out of my car and I saw CHP, you know, doing CPR and just kind of clearing the scene."

Officers approached the wreckage of the car on foot as all eastbound traffic was stopped. They were later joined by responding firefighter-paramedics, who attended to the gravely injured suspect.

A significant amount of blood was visible on the ground. The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was rattled by the deadly collision but was not hurt.

CHP officials said that with the speeds the suspect was topping during the pursuit, it could have ended a lot worse.

"This was only a two-vehicle crash at this point," Keene said. "The driver of the dump truck was uninjured."

Can any medically-inclined kiwis explain why his knees are immediately drawn up on impact?
Its called posturing I believe. It has to do with spinal reflexes. When you have a sudden reflex to pain, like stepping on something sharp or burning your finger, it's not actually the brain the causes you to react. The spinal column is what actually initiates that response before the brain even gets involved.

So basically, it's the spinal column reacting to the sudden loss of communication with the brain and trying to recoil from the pain source. It's completely random. In this case he jumped and then curled into a ball. If you watch more head trauma videos you'll see all kinds of different reactions like planking or people contorting into all kinds of unnatural positions.
