They do have a general public comment section at the end, but I don't know that Russ is aiming to speak for 3 minutes on a random topic.
Most of Rusty's filings are the legal equivalent of speaking for 3 minutes on a random topic. He absolutely wants to postpone the hearing so he can convince Nye County to open up a brothel when he has no real plan, no prospective funding and no whores who would be willing to work for him.

Rusty would be lucky to get a loan for a car, let alone any kind of small business loan for a brothel.

Assuming the emergency motion wasn't some charade to delay
I think it is just all bs.

I could imagine Greer prioritizing some stupid crap over this court date but if there really was something he would have:

  1. At least self-importantly huffed and puffed a bit about being Mr. Busy McBusiness-pants
  2. Thrown in some random plight-sperging
  3. Demonstrate more efforts to move the other thing

His lack of fantasy most likely prevented doing that.

That motion seemed kind of lazy to me, I wonder if he genuinely didn't care that much or if he is so used to getting his way that he thought it would go through anyway.

Mr. Greer's entire business is likely based off an offhand remark he overheard or an out of context tweet he read once, along the lines of, 'sure, I'd fund a whore house. If someone found the land, convinced the county, arranged the talent and managed the whole thing for me, lol.' And he took that as a legally binding contract without ever actually contacting the person who said it.

Also, what business could he do? He's broke, he lived in his car not that long ago.
He said it's in a rural area with no service. So it's most likely him showing some law group or whatever the site of the demolished brothel and whining about it to try and get a pro bono suit against the property owners.

Or more likely he's shitting him his pants and wants to put off getting wrecked. I'm glad his request got denied because I went out of my way to be free to watch it.

Dude, have some patients. He's a mormon moron, and tried to appeal to the Roman Curia (which obviously outranks any US court) and the pope fucking died on him. He is just a prose retard, yah honah.

For the record, russtard is wellknown as Niggerbottom.

I can't blame the Pope for wanting to die rather than deal with Russ.

Nah! I agree with others. Greers "Important Business Meeting" is one of those City/County Board meetings. Because he could certainly never get them to change the calendar for them. And he delusional feels the need to explain why he must be given whores, to the authorities. Because if only he is allowed to Explain all of his psychotic dreams will come true.
It also neatly explains why Russ won't tell the court what the "business meeting" is, because those darn dirty Kiwis could easily tune in or send a field observer to a county board meeting.

That, and he probably knows that the judge will not be impressed with him choosing to blow off the hearing to go explain to some county commissioners why he needs to get him his penis sucked.

Or he just made it up.
I don't know. The psychology of Russ is weird. And even by Russ norms of being a bad liar, that filing is a transparently bad lie.

But Russ's lies are always framed by the reality of Russ's world. "Way out in a rural area without internet" + Russ = Brothels. Why even bring it up?

I wonder if Russ requested a chance to speak at some city council meeting? Would any such requests be subject to FOIA inquiry?

I'd laugh if the Super Important and Top Secret Business Meeting Russhole gave as an excuse in filing #276 was a fabrication, but he has now decided to attend one of these county board meetings as a result of Farmers giving him the heads up.

Judge buddy boy is sick of your shit! :story:

Watch him file a screenshot of an email he hastily sent himself the same day that's extremely light on detail and written in the same dipshit way he talks.

Either that, or he'll just no show, expecting that surely the Judge wouldn't be so unreasonable as to deny his request when he grants everything else for Mr Hardin.
Let God decides what happens.
May 6th omnibus is happening helll or high water.

Be funny if Greer were trespassed from the bulldozed remains of the brothel as he tried to draw spirit energy from the shade of hof.
What are the odds on Greer not showing up for his zoom appointment? We already know he only listens to the "good parts" in court, and he's not looking at a good parts meeting.

Imagine how freaked out the deputy dispatched to that call would be. "He's yelling nonsense? Middle of the desert, who cares? Oh, the property owner? Damnit."
Deputy beagle rolls out to the cracked cement. A shambling figure shuffles towards him.
"Is... is this patient zero? Do I draw my taser or my sidearm?" "GET ON THE GROUND"

Will Rusty cry to the District Court Judge that the Magistrate is being mean and not tard guarding like he's supposed to?
I sincerely hope so.

I'd imagine he would have to provide evidence (or at least a claim) of an actual emergency.
I never heard of an 'emergency' that came with a five day warning. I'm in the 'he's panicking and lying' camp. For all that he's always whining about not being allowed to just explain, now that the time is here he realises he has no explanation. He's the dog that caught the car.

I'm betting that was the only day the brothel would pencil him.

I'm more inclined to believe that he's either making it up entirely or that the speculation about him wanting to attend a county board meeting to scream into the void are the real reasons, I do enjoy the thought of some brothel that hates him sending him a suck for a buck coupon good only on the date and time of his court hearing just to fuck with him.

I can't think of him having any kind of "meeting" out in rural Nevada that wasn't in some way related to a brothel or a whore, but of course there are other holes out in the desert.

I sincerely hope so.

I'm not saying next week is the end of if we're remotely close to the end, but I wonder if Russ will get a dressing down. I'm not sure if the other one only happened because the judge was trying to get Russell to explain WTF the lawsuit was about or if it's normal when one party is a nuisance the entire time, but imagine how cathartic it would be.

Courtroom after courtroom, judge after judge, the sheer amount of legal resources wasted to do everything for Russ, outside of stepping down from the bench and taking him on as a client (You could argue the 10th circuit did that). If the judge has any principles whatsoever, they will make it known to Russell Greer that he is, in fact, the plight.

While we're at it, there should be a reunion episode before this is said and done. Bring in all the people that played a part! 10th circuit, Florida, those lawyers who used Russ to set new precedent. Hell, bring Skordas back for old times sake. Now if they really wanted to bring a surprise guest, there's no one better I can think of than Steve Taylor. I'm sure the logistics would be kinda nutty, but I believe in Null.
