I was just thinking the same thing. Rekieta as he ages out of any conceivable "youth" when he is this insufferable in his middle age will be a carnival act. There is an interstate system for parolee monitoring. ICAOS. The Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision. The officers involved in it operationally use the ICOTS (Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System) to inform member jurisdictions, share information, and even request that local parole officers monitor parolees who have moved or are visiting a partner jurisdiction. This tends to consist of monitoring police reports, such that if Nick's name showed up on an incident report of any kind, his home PO would be informed.

But there is another possibility, a fun one: If the requesting jurisdiction felt the parolee was at risk of re-offending, the partner jurisdiction could task a local parole officer to observe Nick. Such an officer would be totally unknown to Nick. Such a person could potentially hide in plain sight, standing right there, observing. This system relies on quality of information, and informer tips.

While this is unlikely, and more likely they just monitor incident reports for flagged names, it is fun to think about. Hope springs eternal.
