Re the question of white knighting Daniel, I think it is possible for someone to be a victim of abuse but also a prick. I would argue that Becky’s one true skill is manipulation. She knows how to press buttons and tap into insecurities.

I agree that Daniel knew what he was getting into at first. He was perfectly happy to be Chief Cuck when he was the favourite, and I suspect him being ousted by Sam is a big part of why he finally chose to leave. I do not think he is a good person as compared to society’s standards.

But I also think there’s a lot of emotional manipulation going on behind the scenes. We know Becky plays the cucks off against each other. We know she will try to destroy anyone who leaves. We know she can turn on a dime, and that is a really good way to control a person and make them afraid to cross you.
