Do I sound angry? If I come off that way, that wasn't my intent. But I find the witch-hunting aimed at me amusing for merely trying to bring some levity/honesty to the conversation.

I'm a fan of Destiny. I know that biases me completely. But I know Destiny is a big boy and can handle himself, and doesn't need me to white knight for him.

This isn't a conversation, this is people laughing at the pathetic antics and chimp outs of brain dead man child. There is no argument to be had, you can't debate us into not mocking him. This is entertainment, what you are doing by defending him is essentially going to see a stand-up comedian and trying to argue against his bits.

This guy isn't Destiny, Destiny is such a narcissist that he wouldn't pretend to be someone else outside of being a le epik troll. Also if this was Destiny, every signal post we made would have a lengthy response in which you could feel the unbridled autistic rage, filled with constant insults and creative pleading for the ones he's responding to to kill themselves. That or a one to two word meme response.

This guy sounds like Destiny because all of his sycophants are obsessed with him and copy every mannerism of his. Every thing he does becomes the new meme to be endlessly spammed in his chat and subreddit. All of his fans are essentially even stupider clones of him at this point.

I haven't listened to that, but in the discussion with Jim his entire economic argument is "think about how GREAT it is to have cheap luxury items like IPHONES for all those poor people." without realizing having actual employment is infinitely better than cheaper luxury items. It's indicative of what a nice life this guy has had handed to him that he thinks it's more important to have the latest 600 dollar phone than to have a fucking job at all.

Him being an out of touch sack of shit is reiterated by his complete disdain for all blue collar workers. Fuck this moron.

He could have just as easily said "I think people should have access to internet/android phones" and i still think you and others would bitch about him.

To those who think it's dumb for some people that may be their only access to the internet which you need to help you get a job

to be clear i think destiny said a lot of stupid shit but i do think some of what said has some truth to it

Anyways, what Destiny said was stupid. "Poor people have phones and cars and TVs now"? Wasn't it something like that? I don't know where he's been but I grew up poor, we didn't have a smartphone until 2014ish and even then it was because there was some government thing that gave it to us. Call it a hunch, but I don't think Destiny has ever really had to go without the way poor people do. He certainly hasn't missed a meal.

As someone who's watched Destiny for a while and liked his content, he totally deserves the amount of shit he's getting.

I doubt it but maybe it'll get him to check his ego, he's had such a self important attitude for so long that people thought would go away after Trump won and the election sperging was over, and it just got worse.

The truth is even though he can be entertaining he has such a horrible unlikable personality. One example I can put forth is he has talked about how he can't really just have fun playing mainstream AAA games, he gets far more enjoyment out of mastering stuff like LoL or Starcraft or Rust. So there are many times where his fanbase that supports him desperately outcries for him to stop playing a boring ass game like Rust or LoL that they don't find fun to watch, and even Destiny is aware of that and doesn't give a shit.

It became like a meme in Destiny's videos for him to get donations and shit telling him to stop fucking playing rust because it was boring. There's being arrogant enough to think you can play videogames online to support yourself for the rest of your life, and then being arrogant enough to think you can do whatever you want and your audience will just go with it and if they complain, they can fuck off.
