I get the same feeling of resignation from seeing anyone declaring themselves some vague civilised notion - calling themselves a pacifist, calling themselves empathetic, saying they believe in democracy, etc. etc. - as I would if I saw a man walking around wearing assless chaps. These are things that are assumed by default to be the functional truth for most people in civilised society. E.g. 99.99% of people in civilised society are at least close enough to pacifist (e.g., including people that could potentially see the case for it but will follow the law, or have safer means to make their case) that pacifism is taken as a given. The only people who need to call themselves a pacifist are those who are about to say some violent shit and need to try and even the scales from being correctly ID'd as a violent thug.

There's three problems:

1: Generally, if you think about the reasons leftists think white people are evil (e.g. White people get disproportionate amounts of high paying jobs) and then look at the same figures wrt jewish people, the latter seems almost like a caricature of the former. Like the Jewish are a cartoon's over-exaggeration of a problem that's far more subtle with white people.
2: The right wing boomers are the most openly supportive of Israel, and a very large part of modern leftism is just 'fuck you dad' in a trenchcoat.
3: The left wing has spent years promoting immigrants from impoverished or fucked up countries (many of which are muslim) and as a result, are incredibly receptive to them and self-blinded to their faults. Dual-nationalist israelis, meanwhile, are continuing to try having their cake and eating it too, by being openly critical either in supporting measures like these except for when it concerns israel, or forbidding racism except when it's against palestine.

The jewish population in general is only just starting to realise the golem they created is turning against them, and even fewer are ready to admit any part of it might be their fault.

That’s a pretty reductive take. The original 1947 UN partition plan called for a dual state solution, which both peoples had legitimate historical and cultural claims to. The region wasn’t some unbroken Jewish homeland reclaimed after exile it was already a deeply contested and populated land by Arabs who had lived there for centuries.

Saying someone has the most valid claim just because they “rule it now” or because their ancestors lived there thousands of years ago is like saying someone can kick you out of your house because their great-great-grandfather once slept there. Historical presence doesn’t equal perpetual ownership, especially in a place with as many overlapping identities and tragedies as this one.

Both peoples have a claim. That’s why it was always going to be messy and why simplifications like this don’t help.

I think I can easily reduce this whole problem into a single solution. You might even call it The Final Solution to the Jewsish and Muslim question
