Also should add, a lot of stuff was using tape before the digital take over in the 2000s. So plenty of stuff was slightly stretched when being made, so even stuff recorded in 440 would be a few down once the CD pressings came out.There's no dissonance in 440 Hz based music unless it's in the music itself. It all just sounds a tiny bit higher. You wouldn't even notice it usually unless you listen to things with different reference tones or had absolute hearing.
As I said earlier, in orchestras it's even common to tune higher because the violins sound better. Many Rock and Metal bands tune lower, either half steps and lower, or just a quarter note. Dimebag Darrel of Pantera basically tuned to 432 Hz, kinda. Which makes playing their tracks to the CD backing track highly annoying, because it sound subtly off compared to the default tuning. Metallica did similar slightly lower tunings sometimes.
Truth is the 440 stuff is retarded, and it has no relationship to your mind and body. You are likely just listening to music that helps relax you, something which has been shown to help people.
