Otherwise I could convince myself that all the people on that site are pretty harmless, albeit depraved and disturbed, but this story reminds me of Andrew Wurst, a school shooter discussed in Peter Langman's book Why Kids Kill. Apparently he had downloaded onto his computer files containing stories about smurfs being raped and tortured, including being microwaved, until they went insane and started raping and killing each other.

This shit has a potential of attracting some really twisted individuals.

Yeah, I suspect it's less of an autistic obsession with "smurfs", and just an excuse for twisted freaks to write stories about child rape and torture a la 120 Days of Sodom, while hiding behind a "cartoon" to claim it's not really "child porn".

Who knows, maybe some are pedophiles who are even using the guise of a children's cartoon "fansite" to try to lure potential child victims there.

Yeah...the beginning part was pretty harmlessly cute, like finding a lost hamster or kitten or something. Appealing to the biological parental instincts and whatnot. I found myself thinking "Aw, that sounds pretty adorable."

But it got pretty sick pretty fast. Even if you took out all the torture/guro porn it would be sick. Right before they mentioned auctioning off the diaper for thousands of dollars, they mention that sponsors of the nursery like to watch webcam videos of the "magical bath time" and how much the author loves to bathe Blueberry and looks forward to bathing him.

The emotional contrast between the domestic "bliss" scenes and the baby-torture scenes is the worrying part for me. Don't get me wrong, the torture is fucked up, but the alternating states is a sign of serious sexual-psychopathology.

When incompatible emotional states rapidly alternate, and the contrast between them is emphasised, there is a general psychological effect of "losing touch with reality" or heightened neurosis. Notice how each chapter repeats itself over and over: happy-pain-happy-pain-happy-pain. This is intentional.

Notice how emotional charge is established for one scene (strong platonic familial bliss), then the mental energy is flipped on its head (hateful sexual agony) -- the writer gains a rush as they move to the opposite extreme. The more charged the tenderness, the more charged the sadism. The writer is aware of their depravity--they must be aware of the 'wrongness' of the torture, or else the contrast wouldn't be erotic.

Each cycle builds upon itself. Offenders will build themselves into a froth with their mental fantasies, get wrecked on substances that lower their inhibitions and go to town. Or they just froth away in their lonely lives until the Golden Opportunity presents itself and some poor child is mutilated.

Fanfic like this is, literally, how Bad Things start.

When i was a fresh-faced 18 year old out of my parents' house and was learning about various sexual fetishes, I heard of Hurt/Comfort. I never actually read any erotica or whatever regarding that fetish, just hearing what H/C was about made me uncomfortable and I understood it was something I was not going to be into. I'd always thought that H/C was a pretty fucked up fetish and that was without even venturing into the literature revolving around that on sites like Literotica or whatever. Now, after reading the stories full of alternating pain-cute-pain-cute etc etc of how kawaiidesu the baby Smurfs are before they're subjected to various tortures, I am left with one certainty.

I don't think I can exactly explain why but with how the nature of the mlp fandom being beyond weird you sort of expect to come across some really messed up stuff... but the smurfs fandom is pretty unassuming at first because it's the smurfs.

A lot of people from North America probably don't even know that there is a large established fan base for the smurfs pre-movies, so seeing fetish h/c fics of this nature come out is quite jarring.

I've seen a ton in my time, whether it be the ones that don't even bother waiting to go into the abuse and the ones that take a pic or two before going in. But I guess it must be the baby smurfs that got me most to be honest. Plus usually whenever I see Fluffy pony fics, I don't usually see alot of people actually agreeing/liking said work.
