Expedition 33 doesn't really strike me as jrpg in looks. Bland looking rocky and grassfield locations covered in fog and depth of field with pseudo realistic dark lightning. At least the ones showed on stream.

Expedition 33 has the JRPG structure though so it's just eye candy for the most part. Don't expect exploration it's mostly branching corridors from story beat to story beat.
