Patrice Thomelin is starting to form in my mind now.
I am thinking Obelix, of Asterix the Gaul, gluttonous and stupid, of course fat but denying it, eating whole niglets roasted with apples in their mouths.
However, rather than a cauldron of potion, Patrice fell into a vat of stupidity.
He also doesn’t shower and boasts about his Peugeot, plus had a failed career as an artist and writer of romance novels.

In addition to what others have already said, I would like to add that I believe Pat is a real life psychopath who is unable to connect with other people on a human level. This is why his lies are so ridiculous. He cannot put himself in the position of another person to calculate whether or not his lie is believable. He also seems unable to feel emotions such as empathy or love.....almost like he comes from another dimension and is just pretending to be a human. Add to this his malicious, mean, hateful personality and I believe "psychopath" is an entirely appropriate word to use.
And don't get me started on poor Bernell........

Patrick's sociopathy renders him completely obsessed with his image and social standing to the omission of all else. For Pat, it's not about what he achieves in life, but what other people think he has achieved. That's why he claims to be an expert on such a wide variety of topics that he knows nothing about.
Pat's obsession with social status fills the void where other people's sense of self would be. It gives him an entirely external locus of self-esteem. So getting insulted online cannot be allowed to stand. It would be the equivalent to your or I responding to being punched. You don't just sit there and take punches, you at the very least try to defend yourself against the blow. But the other major facet of Pat's personality is his stupidity. Pat is a fucking idiot. An intelligent sociopath would plot elaborate revenge against his detractors. Whilst every insult would make him seethe, a Patrick Bateman would know that just telling that person to Enjoy Prison won't be effective in defending his social standing, so he'll do something like doxing them and maybe framing them for crimes - look at Vordrak, a sociopath with a higher IQ than Pat, and the way he would exact ruthless revenge against all his detractors by trying to ruin their lives (and nearly bringing the Farms down for good at one point). Pat doesn't have the thinkin' meats to come up with a plan like that, the best he has are his lolsuits and they only make his problems worse. All he has is "Enjoy Prison", and he genuinely thinks that recovers his social standing by giving a rebuttal against every single attack, like a boxer fending off incoming hits.
So the obsessive responding to every single Patpost is Pat's way of, in his mind, correcting the record and restoring his good name. Allowing a Stalker to go UnChilded would lower his image. He's too stupid to grasp that people can very easily draw other conclusions from his behaviour because, as you say, he doesn't really have any empathy or theory of mind. He doesn't really understand the social world that he wants to dominate. That's what makes him funny. He has the psychology of a serial killer but the intelligence of a turnip and all his clever schemes blow up in his face every time. Many in this thread have speculated at whether he would be capable of serious violence if he completely lost control and I think it's possible. He has the mind of a mass-shooter, or a murder-suicider. I hope his story doesn't have a tragic end.

The reviews on the website are horrible. People say the head snaps off easily while pulling nails, some people say it snapped off the first time they pulled a nail. He probably bought that shit the day he took that picture. He is also fat.

I can’t be bothered to look it up before posting, but I vaguely recall a study or statistical claim that psychopaths are often of lower IQ and intelligence than the average human.
It would certainly explain Patrick and his world view.
He is smart enough to realize that killing people, who he thinks deserve it will land him in jail sooner or later.
But he still might have another belief common to psychopaths that he is superior to normal people.
In any case though, he seriously has a warped and delusional self image.
He obviously believes with sincerity that he isn’t fat and that he is a genius.

That's contested. Low functioning ones are pretty visible, thus probably overrepresented in studies. Juvenile offenders, petty crime, unstable jobs, violent relationships, in and out of prison a lot. High functioning ones usually stay out of jail and are just manipulative/exploitative users of other people.
There's also a confounder as there's some heritable stuff involved, but early childhood neglect and trauma can make some people into low functioning psychopaths too.
