I was watching one of his live streams and he mentioned watching a camrip of Snow White on a streaming site so he doesn't go see every movie. The more tech savvy people in his sphere probably pirate shit and people like Nerdrotic have people pirate it for them because dear god, he can't use a PC.

So why is critical drinker using Kickstarter? I thought the internet swore off that site 10 years ago when nearly all the campaigns were done by fraudsters and swindlers. If I recall even the website owner was stealing money from it's users..

I've seen only a couple of these videos in the wild, but people on the CD hate-train are always the same kind of people, who need him to be a right-wing grifter. It never feels like there's a decent baseline for what it takes to disagree with them and having it still be valid.

As per the comments, this faggot doesn't even talk about Drinker until 6 mins. (around somewhere between 6:45 to 7:28 to be exact) in. He's sperging about some random-ass unrelated game & channel before that time.

Every time someone bitches about him, it's almost always either some attention whore with less than 10k subs trying to achive numbers through hate-watching (I checked, & unironically this channel only gain views from leftoid shilling & attack vids), some lefty shill from Twitter, or an unironic Redditor (which honestly this guy looks like. Hell, it's like Moviebob & YMS had a son), or just all of the above.

You can never actually find good faith criticism on the guy, because almost always, somehow, the cribbers critics of his turn out to be both worse than him & also do the same things they criticize him of doing even more blatantly than he does.

I never understand this shit. I mean, I get it, it's one gargantuan step below react videos to other YouTubers' videos and grifts of of name recognition, but do they not understand how pathetic it looks? And don't get me wrong, it's the same as the dickriders who praise him, too.

I wouldn't have even bothered to notice, but as I've observed before, CD seems to be the guy everyone wants to take a shot at. The only problem is, the "shots" they take are at a version of him that doesn't exist. Yeah, he did an interview with Ben Shapiro, but generally, he'll call out an IP for politics, if the producers of that IP do it first.

And that's criticism of the stripe of "Why are Republicans obsessed with identity politics?" I don't know. Why the fuck did you introduce them into a property in the first fucking place? Stop calling people grifters for the conversation you started because they're not engaging with it on your terms.

Maybe in my old age, I don't really understand what a "grifter" actually is anymore. I haven't been led down some sort of right-wing rabbit hole because he points out identity politics in the movies - especially when the people involved in them say it's there in the first place. He generally makes well-reasoned points (if he's been inconsistent about shit, I'm not nearly sperg enough to have paid attention) and doesn't bang the drum to be part of a cause.

And I don't have a problem with YouTubers making money off of adjacent products to their channel. Better than a bazillion ad breaks and begging to support via Patreon. By that standard, anyone who generates content and sells merch is a grifter. Which means, most musicians who know anything about making money could be classified as "grifters".

I'm not saying I don't see a clear grift when one exists. For instance, Thai Rivera does a series on a character named "Roger". Roger begs for money, A LOT. Another clear grifter is Lilytino, who can't possibly be serious about doing restaurant reviews for the food instead of outrage bait for being misgendered.

I mean, I guess the thing I hate here is that all you have to do is not pay attention. If someone is willing to pay for something they find entertaining, and they get entertainment out of it, it shouldn't be called a grift more than it is an evident case of "Stop liking what I don't like!"

It's just a really weird thing to hear that if someone doesn't like something these days, it must be true that the producer of that thing is criminally and deceptively bilking people out of money, and those people are too stupid to understand this is the case. I just don't see that here.

Critical drinker doesn't actually have any opinions of his own, he just copies what he thinks is gonna get him the most asspats. Case in point with god of war ragnarock, a well liked game, when people critisized the fact that in the game loki's wife was blackwashed and replaced with some black chick, drinker's response to that was "Bro who cares its a fantasy setting dragons aren't real either, are you racist or something?"

Which is a blatant 180 from everything he as been saying up until that point just because this time he wasn't taking potshots at an easy target so he didn't want to piss anyone off.

To say nothing of the "not a girlboss" in his movie.
