Off-Topic Transgender Legislation and Litigation

Maybe. Perhaps we haven’t gone as far. Zoe Daniels is a crossbencher, and her ability to do anything is limited. She’s also in Victoria, a totally brain damaged, pozzed state, so she has to say stupid shit like that.
But that's the exact problem. She has to say stupid shit like that! Enough people in her electorate believe in gender ideology enough that she has she/her in her Twitter name.

She retained her seat yesterday at the election so now we have another person legislating gender equality who literally cannot say what a woman is.

The Federal Government is Labor, so leftwing, but it hasn’t subsidised wide-scale SRS and our troons ‘n’ poons usually have to pay for butchery overseas, and that’s not about to change.
According to https://www.transhub.org.au/medicare-billing, some procedures are covered in Australia under Medicare.

Corporates are pretty pozzed, as is the mainstream media, but the general population?
I don't believe the general population is as pozzed as major corporations and the majority of the media, but I do believe that voters reveal their preferences when they vote. And voters voted hard for the party that changed the Sex Discrimination Act to forbid single-sex spaces. And when they didn't vote for that party, they voted for people who are actually worse than that party.

The (female) youth is pozzed, but young men aren’t. Our compulsory voting system usually forces governments to the centre. I’m not complacent, but am quietly optimistic.
Honestly I have the least optimism about Australia as I have had in a while.

Then the interviewer asked her 'what is a woman?' and she responded with 'this interview is over'.

As the rest of the Anglosphere has little victories, Australia stays firmly ensconced in trans madness.
Peter Dutton also couldn’t or wouldn’t define what a woman is when asked. The only parties I saw that did were Clive Palmer’s Trumpet of Patriots and Pauline Hanson’s One Nation. Both more right than the Liberal coalition.

Yesterday’s federal election was always going to come down to choosing the best from a bad bunch.

While true, the multiple years wait times for elective surgeries in public hospitals in Australia (totally Medicare financed) will be enough to force most genuine transgenders to head to Thailand.

Albanese himself said, when asked, a woman is an adult female, even though he leads a party that does not believe that. Liberal have been absurdly bad at resisting the trans menace. Moira Deeming was kicked out of the Victorian Liberal party because she attended a Let Women Speak rally. When I attack Labor for the unconscionable changes they made to the Sex Discrimination Act, I am not giving Liberal a pass. They are less bad but they're not good on this issue.

Of course, the teals and Greens are significantly worse than even Labor. My mind boggles to think what the Greens would do if they had majority power.

Labor is not the best of a bad bunch on trans issues.

Let's hope they fall in love with Thailand and stay there.

I didn’t say that they were. I just meant most of the people that I had conversations with were saying they didn’t want to vote for anyone. I suspect if we didn’t have compulsory voting, lots of folk wouldn’t have bothered. Instead people were forced to choose who in their minds was the best of the bad, whether we agree or not.

The trans issue wasn’t an issue for the majority because mainstream media tend to ignore it. Until they make the issue mainstream, the major parties will not take a stand.

The Victorian government briefly showed its hand with the trio of trans acceptance ads that must have cost a fortune. Those ads lasted about two days where I am before disappearing entirely. The general public just don’t want this shit shoved in their faces. Even the government cervical screening ads have people rolling their eyes over “all women and people with a cervix” as if anyone other than a female has a cervix. Even Medicare had to change their eligibility criteria to rebate them so woman registered as male can access rebates for them.

It’s going to take a huge outcry before Australian governments stop the trans nonsense while trying to pretend it’s a non-issue, and that outcry won’t come until mainstream media make it more obvious to the general public. Here it’s not simply a matter of clarification of “female” and “woman”, the law has to actually be changed to exclude gender identity.

This got especially dicey as a group of about 10 5th grade girls were given a counselor who identified as "non-binary" and even the camp confessed they place their counselors with students by the "gender they identify with" and not their biological gender. So, this is a big no-no in it of itself, but the giga-hon counselor was also a fucking menace to these girls. Among the things he said to 10-11 girls included but were not limited to: threatening to drag them out of bed by their feet if they did not get up early enough, threatened to pull their braids/hair (for basically no reason), threatened to cut water supplies to the showers if they took more than five minutes, and told the girls to "shut up" even when the girls could hear the girls in the other cabin across the way playing games and giggling. Upon the girls telling other staff members how uncomfortable and what a fucking menace their troon counselor was, they were told to essentially be quiet and not tell their parents. You know where this is going.
Okay, so sorry to necro a post, but I told a friend who is somewhat friendly to trannies and didn't fucking believe me when I told her about this case. So, for any doubters...

Total Tranny
Death

I will note, I got one detail wrong, missed one or two, but the rest of the details are what little I know from talking to my friends on the case. Hope that clears anything up.

For curious Kiwis, you can see these ads (there appear to be six) here https://www.vic.gov.au/theunsaid

My favourite is 'Footy scene' because props to casting, the brickhon they used for the role was unmistakably a man pretending to be a woman.

Based on the camps denials, it was a female NB not a male.

Winning!

Pooner Kate Strangio is hardest hit.

"Families in Alabama dropped a legal challenge to the state law that bans transgender youth from receiving gender-affirming care, a decision that was celebrated by the state’s attorney general.

The plaintiffs on Thursday filed a stipulation of dismissal to end their federal lawsuit filed in 2022. The Alabama law makes it a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison to treat people under age 19 with puberty blockers or hormones to help affirm their gender identity.

The lawsuit had resulted in an injunction that stopped the Alabama law from taking effect until an appeals court in 2024 ruled the state could begin enforcing it.

Organizations representing the plaintiffs, including GLAD Law, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center, did not elaborate on the reasons for ending the lawsuit, but said the families have faced tough choices since the ban took effect.

“The shutting down of medical care in Alabama has forced our plaintiffs and other Alabama families to make heart wrenching decisions that no family should ever have to make, and they are each making the decisions they need to make that are right for them,” the organizations wrote.

The groups also noted that “a lot has changed” in the three years since the families filed the lawsuit, and that “it is a very challenging environment for transgender adolescents and their families.”

Alabama in 2022 was the second state to ban gender-affirming care for minors. Now, 26 states have adopted laws restricting or banning such care for minors.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall said the outcome of the state case is a victory for both the state and families.

“This is a generational win for children, for families, and for reality itself. Alabama refused to be bullied. Now the rest of the country is seeing the truth. We are proud to lead that effort,” Marshall said.

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule in early summer on whether to uphold Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors."

Some good news to come out of the Australian election (though it's still very grim overall), Zoe Daniels of "I think we're done here" fame after being asked what a woman is has lost her seat.

The leader of the Greens has also lost his electorate. So even though he lost it to a Labor candidate, it means at the very least that Labor can do moderately insane shit on its own without needing to kowtow to the Greens on anything, which would turn their moderately insane shit into really insane shit.

Case was redundant once Skrmetti got picked up for cert. Granted, the Biden administration gamed the fuck out of the cert process; they didn't want the WPATH evidence in Eknes-Tucker before the Supreme Court.

Winning!

The District Court injunctions were prepostoerous in this case. You can be banned from service for flat feet or allergies but not for chopping your dick off?

You can be banned from service for depression or anxiety but not because of a delusion that you were born in the wrong body?

"They'll fully purge the entire federal government of trans people." Al says like it's a bad thing. Hey Al from your lips to God's ears.

The sperging is glorious!

"Soldiers need jobs and shelter". Oh you mean like all the fucking veterans/"veterans" that are parked at highway intersections begging for money? What about those soldiers who actually served and didn't just desk jockey for guns and surgeries?

And of course Big Gay Al leaves out important context: The mass firing of troons wasn't for being troons, it was for holding X-rated discussions of gender treatments and swinging on a Top Secret NSA network. If those people weren't looking to get fired they must have thought they were bulletproof.

ETA: As a fun note, SCOTUS has ruled it (and by extension all Article III courts) cannot second-guess clearance decisions on the grounds that the agency reviewing the clearance application is best equipped to determine who should/should not be granted access to its classified information. Combine that with many cleared positions requiring one or both of a psych screening + a privacy waiver so the investigator can request medical records, and it would be easy to cull the troons from defense/intelligence jobs without any recourse.
