The review embargo being dropped is gonna be great. It's already looking like the normal 'the game is shit, but we got paid to inflate the score' routine, so no doubt we're gonna see a huge saltstorm tomorrow.

for what it's worth, I do remember that a few dudes in the Dragon Age team polling on twitter for a tactical RPG spin off, a la Fire Emblem. Polls said it was gonna be a handheld game, so it might pop up on the Switch or Vita or some shit.

It's a thing I love about Zelda Games, every so often they just drive all before them. They did it in 98 with Ocarina of Time, and it's kind of fun watching them do it again 19 years later. It's a bit like watching that quiet, unassuming man in the corner take on a whole gang of thugs and beating the ever loving shit out of them.

So to me this says 2 things:
1. The game is now and forever undeniable shit like everyone's been saying
2. Game journos and their opinions are still entirely worthless since they say the game is indeed shit, but are too afraid to give the game a score it deserves

Oh and the sex scenes are out and they're uh...hm...yeah...they're not great. I've seen amateur SFM animations that look better:

I was just gonna post that. I was actually expecting some sort of halfway "sexy" body fan service. But this is full on gross. That chest. It's like a twi'lek got flap surgery due to some horrific and disfiguring injury. The chest lumps almost look like mutant boobs. I don't even want to know how they work in females.

I think Cora has too much junk in the trunk. But I'd take that over whatever the hell Jaal's anatomy is trying to do.

Biodrones really are shit out of luck with boogeymen they can point at. The year's not even a quarter of the way done and it already cemented itself as one of the best years gaming has had in ages given how much quality shit is coming out (at least in the West, seeing how Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 came out in Japan quite a bit earlier). So for Andromeda to come out in the state it's in, massively screwing up the one thing it's meant to deliver to the fans (a great story with great presentation), it's sticking out like a sore thumb.

That's the big problem, isn't it? It might play alright, but seeing how much of their fanbase is coming from the Hamburger Hepler school of thought (muh gameplay skip button) they'll either dig deeper into their delusions or treat it the same way people treat, say, Ultima IX and only acknowledge it if absolutely necessary.

More screenshots of people not liking the story/dialogue. Remember talking to Ashley in ME1? Talking about her past, beliefs, and other things? Remember how it was pretty well written, and how when the topic of religion was brought up you could politely state she's entitled to her beliefs and remain ambiguous about yours? Not so in Andromeda apparently:
