Sadly the Fish saga is looking very dire. He seemingly attempted suicide on Youtube but his dad stepped in.
From what people posted it was a 42min stream with him being depressed and crying like he often did but the trajectory was to the 2nd clip of his dad breaking into the room, saying "you bastard" and shutting down the stream.
To expand on else_letter's post in regards to recent fish happenings:
- he had been doing better after getting his clan back (
previous post) and being part of the Aperture & Kalkalaka lead "Sardine Tin" spin-off during which he was treated very positively by everyone (including chat) (Aperture wanting to meet up with Fish was the catalyst for it)
- besides a short visit home Fish has been staying with Aperture since Easter
- Fish has been streaming pretty much 24/7 as of recent where as Aperture was mostly absent and they have not been together on cam that often
- not sure when - probably around the time Fish wanted to restream Season 3 archives - things took a bit of a nose dive with him getting war toys spammed quite often again and "crashing out" again (more than once) (
example)
- his final stream at Aperture's had him frequently telling everyone that he'd kill himself finally on Youtube after he gets home and he wouldn't return to Fishtank - also going into methods (belt). I think at some point during that stream he also got muted in chat again.
- the reason he had to leave the place was Aperture having family over for Mother's day and them needing the room, which Fish called a bogus excuse.
(- just the day before they had a visit from KingDoctor & Kalkalaka and did driving lessons with Fish where things were seemingly OK)
- His streaming rights were revoked after he'd gone offline from what I could tell
- Kal visited him that night (2 hour drive) and was eliminated bc they went live together. He said that they've talked quite a bit (also with the dad) and he hoped for the best...
(- The attempt was the following night)
(- small correction: fishernig's x has been suspended for a while now)
- as of rn he is spamming people's discord DMs apparently (stream stars) and harassing people with alts so still on the internet...
regarding the mod messages:
- deadhanded who posted the mod messages above went on quite a tantrum that night, muting various people temporarily and being generarlly agressive bc people weren't exactly eating it up.
- another mod (win/rugpullofindia) (who has plenty of history with Fish) said the ban/suspension on Fish's account was a decision by multiple people
- bc the one tweet about the mod msg went around + daily logon xp streaks reset on the site (caused by a small outage due to running out of memory) jet checked in via chat but let the situation be explained to him by the mod executing that decicion (who wasn't around for much of the Fish history)
it's going to be interesting to see what happens because of this. when Jet posted the above event did not yet happen.
personally I don't hold them accountable but they let this slide for months now and unmuting him repeatedly with even jet explicitly having been begged by chat to have Fish banned after he lost his job. Most of the mods also participated themselves in the "trolling" including war toys (deadhanded being the most agressive one even as of recent). (and Fish's claims he makes the site a lot of money are not false - streams don't see too much use of SFX & TTS anymore where the toys against him probably are an easy 100$+ a day.)
On a more positive note: there might be an official 3 day "intermission" to stream stars as even the mods are probably starting to get burnt out (and mints has taken on a job in RI with production and has been more passive over the last few days)
