You should swing the thread on this site that covers people dying in video. Haven't seen a woodchippering yet but there is plenty of third worlders getting hit by trains or electrocuted and Wumaos getting crushed by industrial machinery those phenomena seem to be unique to only to regions of the world.

Expecting praise from detractors for contributing is actually more dented than earnestly contributing to Phil. That's quite an accomplishment.

Don't get me wrong, the crash-out was great, but the best trolls remain anonymous rather than trying to get e-plaudits.

As for his KCD2 take, as someone who has never played the game, I thought the introduction was one of the best I've seen in a modern game. It gives you a taste of what to expect in the game going forward with combat and mechanics tutorials. You could make the argument it's a bit of a Symphony of the Night bait and switch where you start off with great weapons and then lose them, but I think it's good to give a player the impression of what you can do with a game early, so that they know grinding will be worth it. The fact Phil can think the pace is glacial when the game gave you a great demonstration of what you have in store is lunacy.

What's the breakdown on what he actually made? Looks like $521 with detractors throwing another $20-$40? Take out the cuts of every servicer and then taxes (lol) and its not great

• He spent at least $70 on that food. Two meals for himself at $15-$20 and that's being generous on the low side. His wife got at least one meal according to him and we know she ain't eating light! Delivery and if he tips would make it close to if not more than $70. I could see it being closer to $100 given his area.
• He bought KCD2 I am guessing at full price ($60). He bought at least one bottle of liquor at $35. I bought that same bottle recently, its absolute shit and apparently its house tequila in most decent restaurants.
• Did he buy the other games he played? I am guessing so.

So just off the shit I know, he spent $165. Take home - $356. That's just an average day. No wonder he's so angry. He had to work so hard to get all this set up!

His streams are diminishing returns now, like they were before the Kino arc. His content doesn't have the appeal of being as much of a trainwreck as they used to be because he gets handheld through streams, so we don't get stuff like being stuck on the menus for 30 minutes; switching to streams was honestly the biggest mistake he made as opposed to blind playthroughs. The vast majority of the people who watch him are hate-watchers and trolls, and if he made a business model that leaned more into being hated, he'd be more successful, but his ego won't allow it.

At least during the Kino arc, there was a sense he was getting very slightly more self-aware and able to laugh at himself, whilst making a decent amount of cash, but now, it's evident the Kino crowd have basically all moved on because he's so boring and unable to put himself out of his comfort zone. So he's back to where he was, more isolated and miserable than ever, with less and less bank made. If he thinks Doom will turn things around, he's in for a rude awakening.

The first game is objectively better in pretty much every way, I wonder if Phil ever played that one. Now I want to see a "Here is how you don't play X" episode on the first Kingdom Come game. (Quick search only shows the recent KCD2 stream)

He hasn't, he has said that he watched his fat dumb wife play it, probably when it was free on GamePass, and she thought the game was awful. Keep in mind she is just as terrible at games as Phil, judging from the streams she's done way back in the day.
