He has Peruvian ID.
Oh, he's the guy who was the head of the leadership who covered up Richard McGrath's scandal where he was caught looking at child porn while at a wrestling match and helped cover up his sexual abuse of children.

I can't help but notice Wikipedia had this on his page a few minutes ago. However, they just scrubbed this "Criticism" section from his entry upon refreshing the page. Because of course they did.

That’s fine, you can still find the old version

Criticism

Prevost has faced criticism from advocates for clergy abuse survivors regarding his handling of sexual abuse allegations during his leadership in the Augustinian order and in Peru. The advocacy group SNAP accused Prevost of failing to act against abuse claims involving Richard McGrath, a former president of Providence Catholic High School, allowing him to remain in his position despite longstanding accusations.

Is Islam who we have to thank for all of the LGTBBQ+ shit in the world today?
I mean, Islamic cultures have a rich and proud history of buggering little boys. If we extend it to kiddie-diddling more generally, Muhammad (the most righteous human being who ever lived, apparently) married a six year old and consummated the marriage when she was nine.

Aside from that, I have no idea how you could justify the position Christianity is responsible for it. At worst, you can accuse it of not doing enough to push back on it, and direct particular flack at some denominations for trying to pander to a "modern audience" by kowtowing to it. But that's firmly the culture directing the religion, not the other way around.

I was really hoping that mr. Sarah would be the one, because:
1) it would be funny to have a black pope
2) he seems to be more based than the other candidates
3) add together 1 and 2, he was the based black man for the job but of course it was not meant to be *sigh*
Sarah was also part of the sect that most closely followed the words of Christ, IIRC. This Pope from Chicago has the potential to become the next Borgia... or worse.
