Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

However, we are willing to bargain.
The Empire, bargaining? You’re thinking that the Empire is willing to treat planets as equals. Especially one that has been as irritating as Ghorman.

The Empire takes what it wants. They thought of more voluntary means of removal in the form of plague and natural disaster. Not financial incentive but making the planet inhospitable.

The Ghorman would not accept any deal from the Empire and the Empire wouldn’t consider making the deal in the first place.

Yeah, I think people forget this is the same Empire that blew up Alderaan after making a "deal" with Leia (Tarkin didn't know Dantooine was a lie at that point).

The Empire is more than willing to bargain. They've done it before. Palpatine bargains with the Ailons, they become his suicide soldiers. Rom Mohc cuts Jabba in on a lucrative deal and he has smugglers help transport materials for the Dark Trooper project. The Empire "saves" the Nohgri homeworld, they volunteer to become Imperial assassins.

Giving a couple of farm worlds away to gain Death Star components is practically a steal.

Alderaan was a hub of rebel activity. You don't negotiate with terrorists. Especially since Leia had lied to them more than once. She was a rebel spy but denied it. She claimed to do her works under a flag of peace, but in reality, was meant to transport a Jedi General and the Death Star schematics to the Rebellion, which is anything but peaceful.

Would you treat in good faith with a known liar? At least the Empire can trust Jabba to transport their Dark Trooper components.

But those are things they couldn’t take by force.

The Empire can make deals, but not from someone who is beneath them.

And that’s the thing, the Ghormans are beneath them. They’ve spent years delegitimizing their concerns.

Don't know where else to put this so uh

They can easily take them by force. The Hutts don't have a professional military. The Ailons do, but a single salvo of turbolaser fire can deal with that rather easily. And the Nohgri were on death's door. The Empire could've easily conquered these three but chose not to. All three of them were beneath the Empire.

too gay and long. just offer every male a free nubile Twilek sex slave and the space french will be extinct in a generation.
I'm not so sure. Given that according to Ahsoka and Rebels, Twi'lek women can give birth to humans.

There are examples of human-alien hybrids in the EU but it always seemed kinda reluctant to explore that. Interspecies relationships were shown here and there but interspecies reproduction was too icky or something. There sure seemed to be a taboo of varying strength about fucking and definitely reproducing outside your own species and it wasn't just Empire-imposed xenophobia behind it. Offhand I can think of Wedge-Qwi, Gavin-Asyr, and Nawara-Rhysati from Rogue Squadron, Corran banging some Selonian at CorSec for a while, and most of the rest of interspecies degeneracy I remember was more crime lords and their slavegirls, degenerate Imperial officers and their slavegirls, Xizor being a Falleen manwhore, Zekka Thyne was some kind of mongrel and was banging Inyri Forge, alien prostitutes, and that's about it?

It has come to our attention that your planet has a very valuable, very rare mineral underneath the soil. The boys at the lab call it Ghorman Kalkite. This stone is very important for the Emperor's clean energy experiments to revolutionize the energy market and provide clean, unlimited energy for all. Unfortunately, extracting the mineral from your soil will cause the planet to become unstable, perhaps even collapse.
*raises hand*

Why? Is the entire planet made of it?
