Regarding the whole woke vs gooner discussion, the fact is that woke shit being put into games is emblematic of a systemic hiring issue with game companies. They prioritize hiring and placing "the right people" in charge rather than anyone competent. That’s why there has been such a downgrade in story and aesthetic quality.
However, replacing them with coomers, or changing the system to prioritize hiring coomers, won’t fix the issue either. Story quality won’t go up (just look at Idea Factory, most gacha games, etc. for proof), and whether oversexualized aesthetics are more favourable in the general public's eyes is debatable.
Not to mention, coomers are just as bad mindless consumers as soyboys (again, look at the aforementioned examples for that). It'll just replace one shitty audience for another.
What companies and their executives have to realize is that aesthetics are the least of people’s issues. What people actually want is fun gameplay and good stories (this is why certain woke games still made money, because they had a resemblance of these things).
